The Breath of the Sun God

Chapter 6

HELLO. Please just give me some ideas for the future chapters and other stuff. Stay safe, and try to avoid the Virus. Sorry for the late update, I only update on weekends depending on my activities. Now let's head into the story.

(Tanjiro's POV)

My first mission as a Hashira. The Mugen Train disappearances have been more and more frequent. "Hey Tanjiro, You have to be on the roof of the train and be careful of the demons," Kyojuro shouted up from the window.  "Got it, In case of the demons are attacking, I am putting Nezuko with you guys," I yelled. Then I picked up a scent, A demon scent. "Ahhh, looks like, a Hashira has arrived, and you, Hanafuda slayer." Lower moon 1 Enmu. I dashed forward. "Hinokami Kagura Raging Sun." I did 2 slashes and they all hit Enmu, but somehow, the demon had used its strong technique of manipulating his flesh to become the train. "You see, foolish Hashira, I have fused with the train, I am now holding everyone on board hostage so, please die so I can have my hearty meal of 200 humans." He said in a sadistic tone. "You. Deserve. To. DIE!" I yelled in anger and dashed towards the head that was wobbling around, taunting me. 'He fused with the train so I need to go to the head of the train and cut it off at the coal cart.' I thought. "Water Breathing, Twelveth form: Striking Current, Power 9!" I shouted. (Power 9 of the striking current is a fast striking move that is able to act like thunderclap and flash but it is slower. Power in the striking current is depending on what the user needs, they use it according to the number of moves that the breath style has.) My speed and environmental surroundings adapted like the Hinokami. 

"Blood Demon Art: Dream manipulation." He raised a mutated part of the flesh on the train and an eye appeared and forced it at my face. "GO. TO. SLEEP." It said in a loud echoing voice. I dodged the attack, then I slashed the neck of Enmu off.

(Kanao's POV)

I hope Tanjiro is ok. I was made to become the new Flower Hashira because Giyu and Shinobu-nee had a relationship and decided to retire. "Kanao, Come here. We have some injured slayers coming in from the Wisteria Mansion." Aoi shouted. "Got it, I'll go get Shinobu-nee's medicine," I yelled. Oh Tanjiro, please come back to me safe and sound. 

I walked down the corridor and met Genya Shinazugawa, (If you don't know who he is, he is Sanemi or the wind Hashiras brother. I will not spoil his ability but It will come with some of my own stuff.) he glared at me. "There is a woman at the front door, she says she wants to meet a Tanjiro Kamado." He said. "I'll speak with her," I said and dashed off to meet the stranger.

I went out to the front door and found the woman. "Hi, I am Tamayo. I am here for Tanjiro Kamado and to tell him that I am now working with the Demon Slayers, I am also a demon." I nodded and brought her to the Medical room where she treated the injured slayers. I saw her amazing skill as a doctor, so I introduced her to Shinobu. 

"I am sorry, but Tanjiro is currently off on a mission. He is tracking what seems to be Lower rank 1." I said. "It's fine. He has already given me three blood samples." Tamayo said. Oh, Tanjiro please come back safe.

(Tanjiro's Pov) 

I jumped up with Inosuke, and dived down. "Beast Breathing Second Fang: Slice!" Inosuke yelled. "Hinokami Kagura  Clear Blue Skies!" I yelled and slashed the exposed bone of the Demon.  I cut the bone in half before it could regrow. The front of the train was cut and it flipped. I saw Kyojuro using his flame breathing forms to protect the carts as well as Nezuko and Zenitsu. "I need to stop this train. Water Breathing Sixth form: Whirpool." I yelled and created a water vortex to slow the train down. Once the train stopped I looked up at Nezuko and Zentisu who were helping all the passengers. I then picked up another demon scent. "Upper Rank 3?" I said in disbelief. The Upper rank attacked with his fist. "Hinokami Kagura Fake Rainbow." I dodged forward and used my Fake rainbow technique. "Water Breathing Seventh form Modified: Drop ripple Thrust combined with Hinokami Kagura Sunflower Thrust." I stabbed the upper rank in the chest. "Hinokami Kagura Beneficent Radiance." I slashed Upper rank 3 on his chest. " You are a strong one. You have potential. Why don't you become a demon." The demon said. "Why should I, your kind murdered my family, I swore to end all demons lives."  "Why not, anyways, I Uppermoon 3, Akaza, shall destroy the weak and make them pay." "Water Breathing Twelveth form, Striking Current Power 10." I shouted and attacked Akaza with my Striking Current Power 10. I dashed forward and slashed at his air punches. "Hinokami Kagura Dance of the Sun." (Dance of the Sun is a move that is able to slash the opponents head off in one go. Like Ever-lasting Phoenix song, it can only be stopped by a powerful counter move.) "Blood Demon Art: Technique Development, Air type." His punches became blue and flew through the air. I need to cut off his head NOW! "You deserve to die, the weak are supposed to be protected, not attacked." I decapitated him, but he was still alive. Then the sun rose. "Shit, the Sun!" Akaza shouted. I threw my sword pinning him to a tree. "Flame Breathing Ninth form: Rengoku!" Rengoku and Zentisu attacked while Inosuke was following due to injures. "Hinokami KAGURA Setting Sun transformation!" I decapitated Akaza with help from Kyojuro and Zenitsu. 

Then, Akaza's started to run to the tree cover. "Get back here you coward!" I yelled. I walked over to the flipped train and got everyone out and we got to the nearest town.

(Third person)

"CAW, CAW, Lowermoon 1 has been defeated, Upper rank 3 fought but escaped. No casualties." The crow cawed. "What, Upper Rank 3 arrived to fight?" Uzui shouted.  "Lowermoons have now all been killed. We now need to focus on the upper moons." Kanao said. (Remember she is the flower hashira now.) "My children, we need to train all the slayers so that they can fight the Demons that Kibutsuji created." Kagaya said. "HAI!"

(Timeskip) (Tanjiro's POV)

 I am back, Great. Inosuke and Zenitsu have been injured while Kyojuro, Me, and Nezuko are mostly unscathed. We arrived at night and I saw Lady Tamayo and Yushiro working with the Kakushi to treat the injured from another mission. "Tanjiro!" Kanao ran over to me and hugged me. "Kanao." I kissed her on the lips and the others followed inside. "I saw Tamayo was also working here. "Yeah while you were away on that mission Oyakata-sama made me into the new Flower Hashira because Shinobu retired and someone needs to take Giyu's position." Kanao said. We walked to the hospital ward where a squad was injured. "Hey, aren't those people the Hashira?" One of the slayers asked. "Yes we are, I am the leader of the Kamaboko Squad. I am also the Sun Hashira. My name is Tanjiro Kamado." The four who were in bed were scared as if they a ghosts. "Come on, cheer up. Hashiras arent's scary, we just have stronger Auras." Kyojuro said. "Yeah, and both of us are just Tsuchinoe, and they aren't very scary." Zentisu said.

That evening Tanjiro sat on the roof looking up at the sky. "Mother, Father, Shigeru, Takeo, Hanako, Rokuta. I wish you could see me right now." I said. "Tanjiro, what are you doing up here?" Kanao said as she climbed up to the roof. "Oh, Kanao. I was just thinking about my past." I said when I remember Nezuko running to my arms when she found our family dead. "Look Tanjiro, I know you have a sad past, I also have the same," Kanao said. "I was beaten and abused before I was sold into slavery. Then my masters found me and saved me. Kanae and Shinobu Kocho helped me become a demon slayer. I then entered Final Selection where I met you, where you taught me to use my heart to decide my choices." I looked at my girlfriend. Then I pulled her towards me giving her a hug. "No matter what happens, we will always be together." I whispered in her ear. She nodded and fell asleep.

ANYWAY, TODAY's TAISHO ERA SECRET: Kyojuro Rengoku's Flame Breathing Ninth Form is his Family's special breath move which is really strong. It makes the Sword light up in flames and every slash which hits, will burn the opponent.
