Chapter 4

HELLO THERE READERS! As you know, the pandemic has hit hard. Anyway, where were we in the story oh yeah.

(Tanjiro's POV)

"ZENITSU, GET YOUR BUTT UP THIS MOUNTAIN OR I WILL HAVE TO CHASE YOU UP THIS MOUNTAIN TO OUR MISSION!" I yelled and he started running up the mountain. Once at the top, we saw a huge mansion. "Huh, there is a sign here. 'Tsuzumi mansion' home to Kyogai." Zenitsu said. Then a drum was heard. "AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH." Two kids yelled behind us. A man flew out of the second-floor window.  He died on the impact on the ground. "Let's hurry in. We need to get to the demon and kill it."  I said and dashed in. I heard another drum get it and I was teleported to another room. I found the drum demon in front of me muttering. "Hinokami Kagura FIRE WHEEL!" I spun forward and aimed for the demon's head. "Damn, insects." He hit the drum on his stomach. Claws ripped the tatami floor like nothing. I jumped and continued my attack. Then the demon hit its drum again, on his left shoulder. The room rolled left and I landed on the side of the room. I kept on rolling until the last second and jumped and tried to strike the demon, but he then hit the drum on his right leg. The room flipped backwards and my attack missed.  I aimed looked up to see another claw attack. "JUST DIE YOU DAMN INSECT." I dashed forward with my blade aimed for his neck this time. "Water Breathing Ninth form: Splashing Water Flow-Turbulent!" I dashed around the room according to its changes. I reached the Demon but then he used his claw attack and sent me flying back. 

Then a separate drum was played. I found a kid with an injury on the floor in front of me. "Hey, are you ok?" I asked he just sat there shaking in fear. "I was nearly eaten by a demon." "Stay here and beat the drum if you hear anything. I will call for you by saying hello?" He nodded and I saw the demon. "Time to test out my two new moves. Hinokami Kagura Never ending Phoenix Song." I phoenix of fire appeared and I charged. Like the tenth form of water breathing, this form uses rotation to gain power. "DIE." The demon shouted. It was revealed to be a former Kizuki from its left eye. I cut through his attack. But my attack stopped. "Water breathing Twelveth form: Striking Current!" (Striking current is a combination between the Flowing dance, Striking tide, Water wheel, and Constant flux. It takes different forms depending on the users' position, and also power is different depending on how fast the user is moving.) I slashed through the neck of the demon and he lay there. I took out the knife syringe and threw it at the body, getting a lot of demon blood. "Meow," A cat with Yushiro's spell appeared. I gave it the sample and it meowed a second time and disappeared.

After dashing out of the building with the kid, the other two came and hugged him and they walked home. "CAW CAW. Your next mission is at Mount Natagumo. Many casualties have happened. Two hashira will join you. Water and insect will join you as well as the insect's Tsuguko." "Thanks." And we left for mount Natagumo.

(TIMESKIP)

We arrived to see an unconscious slayer on the ground with threads on his back. I walked up to him and he flew back into the forest with great speed. "NOOOOOOO, I DON'T WANNA DIE HEREEEEEE." We entered the forest and saw the entire place filled with cobwebs. "Zenitsu and Inosuke go to the west side. Let's meet up near the top." We separated and continued up the mountain. Kakushi were helping the injured. I ran past all of them and saw a huge demon without its head. "Water Breathing Twelveth form, STRIKING CURRENT!" I slashed the top of the neck of the demon off and it disintegrated. I continued forwards and found a female demon on a boulder crying. "Damn you Rui, if you didn't stress me into this I would have killed all of those pesky slayers." I jumped up above the demon. "Water Breathing Fifth form: Blessed rain after the Drought." The demon's head fell. "There is a Kizuki here, be careful." The Demon disappeared after. I continued up the mountain and saw Zenitsu and Inosuke unconscious because of fighting two different demons, both were defeated. I gave told the Kakushi to take care of them, I walked up the mountain and found two demons, one holding a thread to the other neck. "Hinokami Kagura Raging Sun." I aimed my attacks for the one with the threads. He deflected it. "Hey, Stay out of my way. I need higher ranks to earn more mon-" He was cut into pieces right before. "Water Breathing Twelveth form: Striking Current." My blade cut through 5 threads and then made it the demon. "Blood Demon Art: Cutting Thread Rotation. Just die, you weakling." The demon said. "Rui let go of me." The demon girl said in agony. My blade slashed the Blood demon art. "Time for my strongest move. Hinokami KaguraEver-Lasting Phoenix Song." I sliced the next set of threads and continued. Rui dodged my attacks but then my blade connected with his neck, and I forced all of my energy to slice his head off. Then I was kneeling due to exhaustion, then everything went black.

(Third person)

Giyu sat on the branch nearby watching the fight unfold and saw the immense strength that Tanjiro had produced with only two moves. Water breathing's Striking Current and Hinokami Kagura's Ever-Lasting Phoenix Song had defeated Lower moon 5 in just 5 minutes. He jumped down and picked Tanjiro up. "You really have surpassed me, Tanjiro, But you still have things to learn." He left to the Kakushi. 

Meanwhile, the demon girl was running from Shinobu and Kanao. "Ara Ara~ why are we running. I thought we could be friends." Kanao followed and stood there with her sword ready for another attack. The demon girl then shot her ball of spider web threads ( I honestly do not know what that thing is. ) at Shinobu, "Insect breathing, First form: Butterfly Dance Caprice." She stabbed the demon with her sword and left the body to rot. "Shinobu-nee, let's help the Kakushi, they seem to need a lot of help because the injured amounts of slayers are higher than usual," Kanao said. "Yeah, I hope Giyu is fine." Shinobu said. 

They walked to the Kakushi nearby and found The Kamaboko Trio unconscious. "Tanjiro!" Kanao said in surprise as she saw the boy who had helped her in Final Selection. She ran over and hugged him. "Kanao, isn't this the boy who was with you when you left Final Selection with?" Kanao nodded. Then Giyu arrived. "Seems like those three took a beating from these demons, especially Tanjiro here." "No, Tanjiro decapitated Lower moon 5. He was unconscious when I found him." The two sisters stood with their mouths open and stared at Tanjiro.
