Harry Styles
I was confused as to why Iris looked so upset and just walked by me like it was nothing, which hurt my feelings a little bit because I just want to know she's okay, but then I saw George and Thomas, and it made sense. She looked so upset and it worries me. I want to know what they said to her, what they did because there's no doubt in my mind that this is their fault. It's always their fault.
George made eye contact with me, and then so did Thomas, who gave me a little ave and nodded his head. I waved back, just so I wasn't giving him another excuse to start a fight with me again, but then as George spoke to the man they were in conversation with, Thomas excused himself and wandered over.
"Alright?" He spoke, lighting up a cigarette from behind his ear.
"Yeah," I respond, confused as to why he's talking to me like we're 'mates'. "You?"
"Just had a screaming match with Iris." He laughed, rolling his eyes. "She's fucking insane."
I knew it was his fault.
"Oh," I spoke out, not necessarily knowing how to respond, because if I express how I actually feel about him, I'll end up with a broken nose and burst lip, and just a face a whole lot worse than it was last time they raised their hands to me.
Thomas laughed and shook his head, clearly not seeing the problem with how he treats iris. I don't even know what happened, but seeing her rush by in that state proves that it wasn't just a screaming match. He must have said something that crossed the line, and again, Thomas would never see the issue with that.
"I'm running late, actually." I said, lying through my teeth. "I have to-"
"Yeah, course." He muttered, clearly mocking me but I brushed it off like it was nothing. "See you at your family dinner or some shit."
"Yeah," I nodded.
I turned and walked off, conscious of the fact he was watching where I was going. I'm not running late, I just want to check on Iris, make sure she's alright but if Thomas knew I was headed there I'd be on the ground. I looked over my shoulder and they were both engrossed in a conversation with two guys, however, I turned down the street behind Iris's and decided I'd head up to hers from the bottom, just to be safe.
I guess I could stress over the fact that Thomas might have seen the fact I walked two streets down from my own, but I don't suppose he or George actually have the brainpower to realise that.
There's been way too many times where I've needed help and she's given me it, all times when George or Thomas have fought me. Iris never fails to help and she's always so caring and patient, like when she sat on my bathroom floor holding my hand as I sat in the bath she ran for me. I can't begin to explain just how grateful I am for her.
But then who does Iris run to in times like this?
There's that one time she came to my place, when I wrongfully intruded on the information of her last relationship when she told me not to. She came to me out of anger that night, and yet it was the only time she has actually come to me and I've been able to provide comfort.
There have been other times of course, but usually it's when we're in each other's company and it comes into conversation. I don't think she'd go to anybody if she was feeling down/ She has a massive heart, which is one of the best things about her in my opinion, however that massive heart of hers clearly has her convinced that she can't have people worried about her.
I want her to know that I can be that person she comes to when she isn't feeling okay, because she's that person for me.
Standing at her door, I felt nervous. I was unsure of whether she'd even want to see me, second guessing myself and convincing myself that maybe her running off wasn't because of Sam and George, but because she actually didn't want to see me. Regardless of whether it is the case or not, I still want to know she's alright, so I knocked on her door.
