The screen turned black for a split second, changing into a buffer. the sound was amplified by the completely silent house
"W-" Sidney started
A face crashed into the screen from the inside, slamming it as if it were trying to get out of the tv. Everyone jumped back in unison, cause the couch to slide a little bit
"We're only 10 minutes in, calm down" Joey laughed
"Not our fault they made it different from other horror movies" Sidney responded
The movie continued to play while the two bickered. The noise came to a stop when the screen froze. A little girl in ripped clothing stood at the end of an illuminated hallway.
Her head began to turn a full 360, her face meeting it's original spot. The little girls started to laugh maniacally, her body seemed to twist as she walked forwards
"Oh god" Mouse squeeled before hiding half her face in the blanket
"Mouse, stop being so scared" Connor laughed
"Shut-"
Before Mouse could finish her sentence, the little girl was on the chase. She crawled up walls and around ceilings as the main character ran for her life.
The hallways were endless, they seemed to go in forever and she began getting exhausted. She got cornered by the girl
"Please- Don't!" The woman screamed
The little girl paused for a second a looked around. She started to walk away as an earthquake began
"Daddy wants to play~" The little girl shouted and vanished into thin air
"Can we take a little break?" Mouse asked
"I could use a washroom break" Garnt added
The group suddenly scattered to different areas, each one going for a different reason. The only two who were left were Aki and Connor
"You're not gonna get anything?" Connor asked
"I'm fine" Aki nervously laughed
She was wrapped in one of three blankets that they had at the place. Since there were 6 of them, they split the blankets into groups of two. Garnt and Sidney, Joey and Aki, and Connor and Mouse but mouse didn't want to share with Monkey
Mouse came back with a chocolate milk in her hands, she seemed to be slightly intoxicated. She wobbled down beside Connor
"Mouse, you okay?" Connor asked
"I took my meds, Monke" She said almost slipping her words
One by one the other came back onto the couch, some of them sitting on the floor.
"shall we continue?" Garnt asked
"Let's go!" The others responded in unison
The light from the screen flashed on and off. The ground shook beneath the woman's feet
A low growl could be heard from the end of the hallways. A large figure passed by, standing at around 8 foot. It was very slim and didn't see the woman
"I gotta get out of here" She thought to herself
Turning around, she bolted for the exit, only to be stopped right before reaching it. It was the 8 foot figure. It towered over her with a single large eye placed in the center of its head
"Where do you think you're going..." It growled
The woman turned and ran the 8 foot giant following slowly behind her. She came to a small room and hid in the corner.
"Where are you..." The voice got further and further
She let out a sigh of relief. Just then, A pair of long fingers grasped the door frame. It was followed by a single eye and a wide smile
"I found you~" It laughed
The screen turned black and cut to the credits. The room was filled with silence for a few seconds
"that's how it ends??" Connor shouted
"Damn, they really said no surviving" Joey laughed
"I'm heading to bed" Sidney said
"Same here" Garnt spoke following sidney upstairs.
Joey got up and helped Aki up, she seemed to be scared shitless from the movie.
"I'll be heading to my room now, Let's go Aki" Joey said walking to a nearby door
It was just Connor and Mouse left, they sat in silence for a few seconds. Connor made a sudden movement and it caused Mousr to jolt backwards
"you okay, Mouse?" Connor asked
"Yea i'm fine" She said shakily
Connor stood up and stretched backwards. Several cracks could be heard coming from his back. He let out a groan and looked at the time
"it's 2am, I'm heading to bed" Connor said to her.
He started to walk away when he felt a slight tug on the back of his shirt. He turned around to see Mouse right behind him
Her head was faced down and she was holding her hand close to her chest.
"Something the matter?" Connor asked
"Could I stay with you tonight?" Mouse asked
Connor took a step back in shock. He scratched the back of his head then began speaking
"Are you sure? is it cuz of the movie?" He continued
"I'm sure, I wasn't scared or anything..." She mumbled
Connor laughed and extended his hand out to her. The room was dark but it was clear that Mouse's face was a slight red
They arrived at Connors room which was pitch black. Mouse walked in first followed by Connor. She layed down on his bed while he sat on the edge
"You not gonna lay down?" Mouse asked
"That'll be sorta weird, what if one of the others walk in?" He replied with a question
Mouse shifted forwards and hugged Connor from behind, her face was planted firmly on his back.
"It's okay" She told him
Connor turned around and looked at Mouse for a couple seconds. He broke into a quiet laugh
"I guess it's okay, we're nothing more than friends anyways" he proceeded to say
Mouse looked at the matress then back to Connor. A small spark could be seen in her Iris'.
She moved forwards and planted her lips onto Connor who was shocked. He closed his eyes and kissed her back.
"Idiot..." Mouse said falling over
"Mouse??" Connor said worried
She began to lightly snore, her arms were outstretched. Connor looked at her and smiled a little bit. He touched his lip and took his place beside Mouse
"Our first kiss, huh?"
