Connor walked over to the window in the kitchen and placed his hand on it
it was freezing to the touch and left a hand print once he took his hand off
"i didn't realize it would get thing cold" He sighed and walked away
the smell of freshly cooked bacon filled the air, the sound of sizzling was louder than Connors footsteps
"breakfast almost done?" Connor asked Mouse, resting his head on top of hers
"Almost done, i need you to get off though, you're heavy" she groaned, trying to keep herself upright
Connor gave her a peck on the cheek and headed over to the kitchen, he glanced outside to a street covered in snow
Japan was back in lockdown due to an increase in cases of COVID, the street was deserted and almost empty
"wonder how long this is gonna last?" Mouse walked over to the table with a plate in either hand
in one hand she held a plate that had several waffles on it. In the other, she held bacon and scrambled egg
"This looks delicious" Connor said taking a strip of bacon
"Enjoy" She giggled and began eating
Connor stood up and walked over to the fridge, he came back with maple syrup and margarine
He froze in place and looked out the window, it was as if a blizzard was hitting japan
"It's really going isn't it?" He asked, placing the syrup and margarine down
Mouse glanced outside and saw all of the falling snow, "holy- it really is" She agreed
Connor sat back down and continued to eat his waffles, It tasted sweet but not too sweet. the crunchiness filled his mouth followed by the feeling of the soft inside
"Mouse..." He began
"Hmm?" she replied with some food in her mouth
"This is amazing!" He shouted, he started to eat faster
Mouse pulled out her phone and tried to open twitter. It said 'no service' even though the power was still working
"Connor?" She started "Can you check your phone if you have service?"
Connor pulled out his phone and saw the same thing 'no service'
there was still power inside the building but there was no service? it wasn't impossible but very rare to happen
"Maybe the snow storm had to do something with it!" Mouse pointed out
She stood up and walked to the nearest window, she openned it slightly and was hit by a strong gust of wind
Her hair flew backwards from the wind, Connor watched as her hair flailed all over the place
"why would you open the window??" Connor shouted, walking over to Mouse
"Because, I didn't think it was that strong" Mosue replied, shivering
Connor formed a smirk on his face
"Why don't we take a warm bath, together?" He grinned
Mouse's face turned a bright red, she looked away from Connor's eyes to the floor. She clenched her fists
"A bath??" She started "with a monke? never!!"
Connor laughed and patted Mouse's head, he walk past her to the couch
"it was a joke Mouse, don't be so dramatic" He smiled
Mouse pouted and storms off to the bathroom, she closed the door and turned on the bath
"Idiot.." She mumbled to herself
Mouse dipped her body into the hot water, instantly warming it up. The wind she had experienced earlier was stronger than ever
A knock suddenly came from the door
"Mouse? you in there?" Connor shouted from the other side
Mouse fumbled her way out of the bath and quickly wrapped a towel around her torso
"come in!" She said in panic
Connor openned the door to see mouse with wet hair and just a towel
His face turned a light shade of red and he walked in and closed the door behind him
"mind if i join you?" so we can save water
"s-sure" Mouse said without a second thought
She undid her towel and tried to let it fall, Connor caught it before her body was exposed
"keep the towel on!!" He screamed
"How else am I gonna take a bath??" Mouse shouted back
"get a bathing suit, i have shorts on" Connor replied
Mouse exploded and walked to her room, she came back with a pick one piece that was laced on either side
She hopped into the bath and sat facing Connor who was already inside
"look at you, you're so short" Connor teased her
"Shut! i will kick your nuts" Mouse laughed
"you better not!" Connor shouted, curling into a ball
Connor stared at Mouses eyes and she looked away from him
She regained her courage and stared back into Connors eyes, they were sparkling and seemed to be struggling to stay open
"Connor? don't stare so much" Mouse muttered
"Was I staring? Sorry, i was just looking at your gorgeous eyes" He smiled at her
Mouse jumped out of the bath and dried herself off
"I'm heading out now!" She announced
Connor stayed in the bath for a couple more minutes before jumping out, he dried off and put on some clothes
He met up with Mouse, who was in the living room a few minutes before Connor was
"hey Mou-" Connor paused and dropped to the ground
He openned his eyes and looked up at Mouse, she stared down at him with friendly eyes
Connor sat up slightly and tried to speak "Mou-"
"stay, you've been overworking yourself" She replied, gently pushing his head back onto her lap
Connor closed his eyes and Mouse began to speak
"I'm really proud of how hard you work, it makes me happy to know that you care so much about your passion" She started "I see you've been staying up late and completing project and videos when you don't need to push yourself so much. I want you to take care of yourself more, Monke"
Connor's eyes began to sparkle, he looked at Mouse who was looking away.
her face was a deep red but Connor couldn't see because she was looking away
"thank you for caring so much, Mouse" He laughed
"You're welcome, Monke" Mouse replied and leaned in for a kiss
