The sky was painted pitch black with a single large circle placed in the middle of it. Surrounding it were small speckles of lights that illuminated the night sky.

Connor breathed out, his breath could be seen leaving his mouth

"so why'd you take me out at night?" Mouse asked

Connor tucked his face back under his scarf and looked at her, he smirked lightly.

"It's cuz it only happens at night," Connor answered her

He began to walk forwards, catching Mouse off guard. Mouse followed him towards a park

"Hey! You didn't answer my question" Mouse pouted and crossed her arms

Connor ignored her and continued to walk forwards

The open field was illuminated with street lamps. Almost every area on the grass was filled with people sitting on blankets, watching the sky

"Why are there so many people?" Mouse questioned, looking from left to right

"You'll see... in about an hour" Connor replied, walking over to a small grass patch

He plopped down and patted the grass beside him, signaling Mouse to sit beside him. She did as he implied and looked at the sky

"it's so clear.." Moused gasped, she stared intently at the sky

A backpack swung off Connors back onto his lap, he pulled out some canned beers and popped them open. He handed on to Mouse and the other one for himself

"Are you sure?" Mouse said, taking the drink hesitantly

"It's a special occasion, of course I'll let you" Connor replied and took a sip

Mouse looked from Connor to the drink that was in her hands. She lifted it to her lips and took a large gulp of the beer

She swallowed the beverage and made a sour face.

"It tastes like piss.." She hissed. She took another sip

Connor let out a laugh, "why drink again if you think it sucks?" He said

"Because you're drinking it," Mouse replied, putting down the drink

The park suddenly filled with cheering and shouting. From time to time there was a whistle

"Why-"

Before Mouse could finish her sentence a pillar of light emerged from the trees.

It shot up into the air and exploded into a flurry of colors. Orange and yellow, Green and blue.

One by one, fireworks shot up into the air and crackled. The sparks danced in the sky, creating flowers and clouds.

"We're here to see fireworks" Connor shouted, he was being overpowered by the sound of the fireworks

"They're beautiful" Mouse shouted back

One last firework shot high into the sky, dissapearing from sight for a while. It burst into a large ball that covered the whole sky.

The once dark sky was super bright, it was as if it were already day time.

The light died down and it was followed by tom of clapping.

"That was...." Mouse started "Incredible!"

"It was like *bam* and that other one was like *pew*, i really liked the blue and red, and the..." She paused to catch her breath

Connor smiled and her and stood up, putting the backpack on his back again.

"Glad you enjoyed it, let's head home now, shall we?" Connor asked, extending his hands outward

Mouse took his hand and pulled herself up, they began to walk to the exit of the park

"That was still so amazing, thanks for taking me here" Mouse giggled

"Of course, it was really good timing that it was happening on our date" Connor smiled back

Mouse nudged Connors hand with hers, trying to get his attention

Connor hd her hand and continued walking, Mouse now had a smile on her face

"sorry we didn't go out in the morning, I only had this planned for our date" Connor said out of the blue

"That's alright, I was wondering why you weren't ready in the afternoon" Mouse sighed

They came to a stop right in front of a karaoke bar, A grin formed across Mouse's face

"Let's go!" Mouse shouted and pulled Connor without letting him say a word

-------------------------------------------------------
"Cmon, sing!" Mouse insisted, pushing the mic into Connors hands

"Fine, this once" Connor sighed, he stood up and turned to Mouse

"It's friday, Friday, gonna get down on friday!" He began

"Please don't sing again"

"wasn't that bad"

"It's getting late"

"Finee~"
-------------------------------------------------------

Connor stumbled out of the bar, almost tripping on his own foot

"Woah there, you okay Connor?" She asked him

Connor openned his Mouth and not a word came out, all that came out was his dinner.

"I'm okay, just got a little bit dizzy is all" Connor coughed

Mouse hooked Connors arm around her shoulder and began to walk with his weight on her back

"You don't need to-" Connor paused, folding back a barf

"It's okay, we're almost home anyways" She panted, She limped as she dragged Connor

They finally arrived at their apartment and the door swung open, Connor stumbled to the couch and plopped onto his back

"No more karaoke, please.." He groaned

Mouse laughed and little and sat on the floor beside the couch, she leaned backwards into Connor's arm

"You don't need to to karaoke anymore, it's okay" She mumbled

Mouse's head suddenly went limp and she fell over onto the carpet.

"Guess you must have been exhausted," Connor smiled, he stood up and picked Mouse up

He walked up the stairs and openned the door to Mouse's room. He carefully placed her onto the bed and sat by her side before getting up

"I really enjoyed today, It was pretty fun. we should go on more dates" Connor said faintly, he tucked Mouse's hair behind her ear

He got up and began to walk to the door "Goodnight, Mouse"

A sudden tug came from his shirt, Mouse's hand was holding on tightly. She openned her eyes slightly

"Stay here, sleep with me" She whispered

Connor smiled and let out a sigh "Sure thing"

He climbed into bed with Mouse and stuck his shoulder under her head. He wrapped his other hand around her waist

Mouse pushed her body against Connors and held him tightly

"Goodnight, Monke" She muttered

"Night, Mouse" Connor replied, closing his eyes

"Love you, Monke" Mouse said once more before falling asleep
