Yeonjun was already waiting for Kai at home. This time they had agreed that he would not have to pick up the younger, so the black-haired had the opportunity to cook something before Kai arrived. It was already afternoon, but Yeonjun wasn't worried about that because they could spend the whole night together. After all, it was the first time Kai came to him and thus everything had to be perfect for his friend's arrival. Not too romantic, but still he wanted to cook for him. And it wasn't too long before the doorbell rang, announcing Kai's arrival.
"I'm coming!" shouted Yeonjun through the apartment and his heavy footsteps could be heard.
Shortly after, he opened the door and looked into the face of the handsome Huening. Immediately, Yeonjun grabbed his hand and guided him inside the apartment, wrapping his other arm around the younger boy's shoulders and pulling him into a hug.
"Hey," he greeted Kai softly, whereupon the latter gently stroked his back.
It was still strange because they had known each other for so long and it was familiar but now had a romantic intent.
Kai felt this strange tickle in his stomach every time.
"Hi," so Kai whispered back, and when he caught the good smell of food, he glanced across the apartment toward the kitchen. "That smells really yummy."
Grinning, Yeonjun leaned back, giving the younger boy more of a view of the apartment since he had never been here before. "I hope it tastes like it smells," the host laughed softly, finally letting go of Kai.
Curious, the blond looked around the small, fancy apartment. It was cozy and even the colors of the furniture gave the apartment a warm, cozy atmosphere. He walked further and looked along the corridor, on the milky white wall hung some pictures and when he looked to the kitchen, whose door consisted of an open arch, he also knew where the delicious smell came from. "I'm sure of it," Kai said softly, and when he remembered that he hadn't even taken off his shoes yet, he quickly slipped out.
"So...," Yeonjun began quietly and carefully as he made his way back to the kitchen, "are you staying here today?"
Surprised, Kai looked at him, even though they had talked about it shortly. "Should I?" he asked with a smirk, watching as Yeonjun walked past him into the kitchen.
The older showed a slight nod.
"I'd like you to be here, but I don't want to rush things either," Yeonjun admitted, glancing at Kai as he went back to stirring the noodles in the pan.
Kai looked over his shoulder into the pot and wore a gentle smile on his lips. "I'd like to stay here too," and it came out of him so casually that he was surprised himself. After all, Yeonjun made him nervous, but at the same time, he really wanted to spend time with him.
As much as he possibly could.
Yeonjun turned his head so he could look at Kai, who was still looking over his shoulder, and gave him a fleeting kiss on the cheek. He then set the stove down and the pan aside. "You're hungry, aren't you?"
