After Kai arrived back home after a long but beautiful weekend, he was more tense than before. He knew how serious it was now with Yeonjun and it made him nervous that he couldn't tell anyone. He was afraid that Lea would question him about the weekend he had spent away from home.

And Kai was not good at lying.

That's why he tried to close the door behind him very quietly, but when he tried to take his shoes off his feet and almost tripped, he heard his little sister already calling from the living room. He was sure that he still heard the voices of his other family members and let out an indignant sigh. After he entered the living room, his father was lying next to Bahiyyih, who had her head on her mother's lap. Even Lea was sitting in the comfortable chair and it looked like they were having a family reunion.

Except that the only son was missing.

"Hi," Kai murmured softly, wanting to leave quickly but his mother was already beckoning him to come over so he could give her a welcoming kiss on the cheek. And after she had received her kiss she smiled at her son, greeted him quietly, while she also immediately offered him to sit with them.

Lea also looked up from the TV and looked questioningly at Kai, "You're late, where have you been so long?"

"Probably at Yeonjun's," it slipped out of Bahiyyih's mouth just before she stuffed a chip into her mouth. Then the girl realized what she had said and looked up at her brother after a loud crack of the snack.

The latter was completely frozen, because while Lea turned to him, his parents eyed him with a puzzled look. Bahiyyih slapped his hand over his mouth and Kai's blood rushed to his head.

His heart raged like a zoo and he swallowed hard, trying to look for an excuse.

"Because of the driving? Lea told us you were taking driving lessons with him," his father said with a furrowed brow, but Kai ran his hands over his chest in anger.

He was so bad at lying.

How was he supposed to make his entire family believe that he was only seeing Yeonjun for driving?

They might believe it, but was that really what he wanted?

Did he want to keep Yeonjun a secret for weeks, months?

If something serious came of it, even for years?

Would he keep his love a secret forever and never take Yeonjun home with him?

Be afraid of being caught holding hands in the city?

Kai shook his head, because he didn't want that. And he didn't want to do that to Yeonjun either. That was unfair, and he would be the last person to deserve something like that. "Eh, I ...," Kai muttered, scratching his arm excitedly as his eyes still roamed over the faces. "I-I ..."
