wynter and andy
"Your teammates, Winnie and Robbo," Trent chuckled to himself. The interview had barely started yet he already knew that it would be more engaging than his previous ones from today. The interviewer continued, saying, "You obviously have very close relationships with both of them. But what are they like as a two?"
"It's-- it's complicated," Trent sighed out a laugh, breathing out slowly. His sight wandered anywhere but the camera for a moment. There was a lot to say about Wynter, about Andy. But the two together? That was another situation to wonder about. Like he said, Wynter and Andy were complicated. You can't condense complicated into two sentences or less. "It's a lot of things, but it's definitely complicated. They're complicated. I can say that."
"What are you doing?"
"Sitting down."
She rolled her eyes. "That's not what I meant—" Wynter took in a breath to stop herself from yelling. It was too early to be causing commotion, especially in such a narrow space like a bus aisle. "I'm supposed to be sitting there." And she knew that Andy knew of that, which only irritated the player further than necessary.
"First come, first served," Andy shrugged.
Wynter turned her focus on Trent and offered him a pointed look. He had been far too silent for her liking. She pointed between the boys. "So you're okay with this?"
Trent rubbed his face with his hand. He, like everyone else, thought it was too early for Wynter and Andy to be at it with one another. And that the worst part about it was he was being dragged into it. "I mean, it's just a seat—"
"So you're on board with this?" Wynter huffed out a laugh, biting back some smart talk. She didn't know if she was more annoyed at Andy or Trent. Yes, Andy didn't need to occupy her seat, but where was Trent to stop him? Knowing that they planned to seat together. Really, she could place more blame on him. Not only that but it was Trent who asked Wynter to sit next to him for the bus journey. "I see how it is. For both of you."
"Wins—" He fell back into his seat when Wynter flipped them off as she walked down the bus. It was a certain to Trent—not even a probably—that his girlfriend would avoid him for the whole trip. Frowning, he turned to look at Andy who was finding everything a bit too funny. "You really had to do that?"
Andy shook his head as he patted his teammate's shoulder. He found it so easy to mess with Wynter. Playing with one teammate, Wynter, meant playing with another, Trent. All of this to Andy was very much a win situation to cause. A bit of a riot amongst his teammates brought about his daily entertainment. "It's not my fault you can't stand up to your girlfriend."
"Is it like this every day with Winnie and Robbo?"
"Not every day," Trent shook his head, slowly. He folded his arms. "But it's not a surprise if you walk into a room and they're at it with each other."
