everything comes full circle

Matches, especially those abroad, were stressful. They were stressful for Trent, they were stressful for Wynter. The two were united in all that stress. But never did they simply sit with it and not try to slip away from it. The morning before the team was set to travel abroad, Trent and Wynter would always find themselves sitting up on Trent's balcony.

Cuddled up together, far too comfortable with one another to pull away. This was how they managed. Sometimes there was talk, and other times it was just silence. Where Trent leaned into his girlfriend's embrace, caving into her body while she drifted with music blasting into her ears.

Wynter paused Love$ick playing and removed her headphones. Her eyes glanced over her lock screen and she smiled kindly. "I'm going to be a mother of four next week."

Trent quickly turned his head away from the young sky. "What?" He grew tense but relaxed when he caught sight of Wynter's lock screen. It was a picture of Wynter and her niblings from when the couple was last in California. He let out a laugh. It wasn't exactly loud, but it was rather hollow and heard during the early hours of the day. "Oh— you meant the kids?"

"Get your head out of the gutter, Trent!" Wynter groaned, trying to push Trent away but he only pulled her closer. It was kinda hard to get away from him when she was trapped in several layers of blankets. "It's not going to lead you anywhere. I can promise you that."

"Can you blame me for trying?" He glanced over her shoulder to see what she was up to on her phone. Eventually, he simply rested his chin on her shoulder, kissing it every now and then. "What do you think we should do for them?"

The young woman quickly grew very happy, leaning back into his chest. Trent's attitude towards the kids was just about perfect. He was always happy when they were around. He loved the thought of them watching their games at Anfield, always suggesting a way for them to be mascots.

Wynter cleared her throat, adjusting the hood over her hair. "I mean there's a lot I want to do. It's going to be Brycie's first time over here, I'm gonna take the kids out to buy a few things for Peyton's birthday coming up. I don't know. I'll know better when I'm back at my place."

He lifted his face from her shoulder. "Why're we always at your place when the kids are around?" Trent asked. "We're never here. We're here sometimes but they never, like, stay over here."

"Trent, c'mon," Wynter huffed into her hands. "I didn't know you had baby formulas, baby proofing and the kids' stuff all here—"

"Then move in with me," Trent suggested, silence quickly dawning over the two. But the silence didn't distract him in any way. He remained composed and assured, "If you did, you wouldn't have to be going back and forth to get things all the time."

"I mean that wasn't really the point of what I was saying..." Wynter scratched her head. "Bryce is gonna grow out of it all anyway."

He glanced up at his girlfriend, adjusting her chin so they could catch eyes. Searching her eyes, rather curious and involved, he found no sign of disagreement so he repeated, "I think you should move in with me." At this stage of the relationship, Trent had many goals to achieve with Wynter. Getting married, having kids. But one of the many he believed that could come easier than the others was moving in together. Wynter was the first one between the two to bring it into conversation but they never went anywhere with it.

"Trent, sweetheart," she patted his shoulder. "We're definitely close but not like that. I'm sorry if I've been causing you any confusion."

He huffed out a laugh. Could she take anything seriously for once? "I'm just saying," he started, glancing up at Wynter. His expression, his tone—he was being serious this time around. "Whether you move in with me or I move in with you—or we find a house together—I think our lives would be so much more easier, so much better. Wouldn't that be nice?"
