Pepper lays unconscious at my feet. I stand frozen in place, unsure what to do. "Why did she faint?" Sapphire asks from behind me. "I-I don't know." I say. "She was.. Asking about your uncle, Boxtrip." I bite my lip. "I can't imagine why though.."
Sapphire walks over to her bed, and plops down on the mattress. "Hmm.. Maybe she had a crush on him or something?" She says. I cough suddenly, choking on air. "What?" I gasp.
She raises a brow. "I dunno." I readjust my footing on the carpet. "She-.. That's impossible; He's her cousin!" I protest. Sapphire shrugs. "Well, she clearly didn't know that."
I glance at my cousin, and sit down next to my daughter. "What now?" She asks. I sigh, staring at Pepper. "Now, we wait for her to come to, then we break Circuit out of the Hicrill dungeons." I feel Sapphire staring at me and finish what I was thinking: " Then, we go after Genie's hell spawn."
