I frowned at Space, but said nothing. I'm not sure what she has against Chaos, but it needs to stop. "What is your problem, Space? We already beat you once." I said, feeling Stygian's hand on my shoulder. A warning.

Space turned to me, her eyes as crazy as Genie's once were. "Ah, haha. She speaks after all." She grinned wildly at me. I pointed the Cresterix at her, keeping her at a distance. I stared at her, with an expression I would kill with. "Perhaps you never noticed. You don't listen when I talk anyways, Space."

She frowned at me and put her hands at her hips. "I was being sarcastic, Pepper-Riia."

I sighed. "Well, I wasn't." I noticed Chaos looking down at the bag I think we both forgot she had. Space wrinkled her nose. "Your point is?"

"I could slice you in half right here, right now." I growled. "That's my point!"

Chaos lifted up three artifacts with her magic. She glanced at me, and Stygian. "But you won't." Space countered. She crossed her arms. She stepped closer to me and got in my face. "You're too much like your mother and cousin." I leaned away from her, stepping back. Now the sword's edge was a slice away from her chest.

"You don't have the guts your sister had." Space chuckled. "And here I thought you were smarter than them. Now I see how wrong I was."

I bared my teeth.

"You're just as stupid as those before you." She said. My ear twitched. She reached for me. "Oh come on, dear sister. Surely you don't think yourself better than that Elaina?"

Despite my urge to back away and cower, like the weak Cytronic that Genie once made me feel like I was; I stepped closer to her, her nose nearly touching mine. "I would watch my words if I were you, Your Highness." I growled. Space smirked, and pecked my cheek. I backed up, wiping my cheek with my hand. Ugh! Gross!

I gritted my teeth and pulled the sword down, away from her. Before I could rethink this, I launched the sword into her stomach, breaking away her weak white plated armor.

Brelta tears slid down her cheeks. "P-Pepper-Riia.." She choked, her eyes wide, and her ears down.

"No!" I said suddenly. My friends flinched at the volume and stared at me. All except Chaos. Her eyes glowed white, the artifacts circling her. Circuit and Stygian watched with anticipation. "You-you shut up. Just shut up, Space. You do not get to call me that. You stopped being my sister a long time ago." Genie's eyes widened, and she ran towards us.

She knelt to Space, picking her off the sword, into her arms. "What are you doing?" Stygian inquired, over my shoulder.

I raised a brow. "Yeah, I thought you were with us, are you not?" I asked. Space's eyes widened. "What!"

Genie nodded, as tears slipped down her cheeks. "I am. I stand with the NexttGenns now." She said, eyeing the dying ruler. Chaos' circling eyes were now transparent as she watched us. "But what?" Circuit inquired, leaning forward. Genie shook her head, and held Space close to her chest. "There is none. I'm not switching sides again." She sobbed lightly. "I still love Space, guys. She's still my daughter."

My ears fell, as Space looked up at her mother, tears flooding from her eyes. "R-really? After all I've done? All I made you do? All I've created and-" She hiccuped. A sharp pain shot through my chest and my stomach twisted in my gut. This doesn't feel right.. Genie hugged Space and kissed her forehead. "Yes, Honey. I forgive you." Genie replied.

I didn't know what to do. Genie was reformed, but Space? She just tried to hurt us!
Right?

I stood there, confused and suddenly guilty. Genie looked at me, tears now pouring silently from her face. "She's sorry, Pepper." Her eyes bore into my soul, begging me. Begging us. "Pep, I know you're not heartless like I once was. Spare her, please!" She looked down, sobbing hard.

This shouldn't be deja vu. This isn't a parallel. I shouldn't feel this way. Space is purely evil. Like She was.

"Uh, Chaos, heal her please."

My cousin looked at me. "Excuse me?"

"What?" Genie looked up.

"Huh?" Space choked.

Chaos stepped towards us and stopped when I held my hand up. "Wha-"

"After she returns Myschief's powers." I kept my gaze on the mad ruler. Space glared at me. "I knew it." She strained to get out of her mother's grasp. "I knew there was a catch." She laughed. "Like I could do that now.."

I poofed away the Cresterix, and glanced at Stygian. "Does that seem fair?" I raised a brow. She shrugged. "Why did you take her powers, Space?" She tilted her head.

"I dunno." Space chuckled softly. "Just for the heck of it?"

I crossed my arms and looked at Genie. She frowned and dropped Space to the floor. "On second thought, Space Dear, you're rather troublesome and annoying." She stood abruptly. "What??" Space exclaimed in a weak voice. She coughed, holding her side, that spilled Brelta onto the ground. Genie walked briskly to our side, and stood next to me on my left. Space crawled to her stomach, reaching out to Genie. "No, wait! Mommy!" She cry-coughed. "I-I need you!" She tried to drag herself, and failed-or gave up.

I glanced at Chaos and shrugged. "Chaos, you can take it from here, I presume?" I said.
Genie grinned, that evil grin I remember so vividly. Chaos' white eyes glowed. A mischievous grin broke across her scowling features. "Of course I can." She replied.

I reached out to my cousin as she approached Space. "Don't-..Lose yourself, Trap." My eyes widened as she glanced at me. "I-I mean Chaos." I hesitantly corrected.

She nodded at me. "Good catch, Pepper." She giggled strangely. I glanced at Circuit, who was shaking his head and gesturing with his hands at his neck. I shook my head, watching as Space struggled to inch away. Sometimes Traple's crazy-err.. Chaotic side scares me.

Even though when she's mad, she's sticking up for those she loves. I felt shivers up my spine, replaying the scene in my head. Those chaotic spirals. Glaring into my soul, shaking me to my core. I don't care who you are, Chaos is a scary, unpredictable force to be messed with. No matter whose side she's on. That's the part that keeps me up at night. That she could switch. At anytime. For anyone. Over anything.
