I woke up, got dressed and went down stairs to make breakfast, and as it was a no-uniform day at school, I wore whatever I wanted. But I made sure it was in the dress code.

Then I heard footsteps coming down the stairs, it was mum. "Hi." I say.
"Good morning sweetheart." my mum says as she side hugs me. "How are you?"
"Shouldn't I be asking you that?" My mum looks at me slightly confused. "I know how close you and Gram where." Oh yeah. Gram passed away two weeks ago. The doctor said it was because of a heart attack. It effected everyone, exceptionally mum.
"You have no idea." she mutters.
"Yeah I don't. not like he use to climb out of your window in the middle of the night. Or your Saturday council meetings." She looks at me in shock.
"How did you- Sweetheart, I would have told you but I just- I um." I have never seen mum this nervous. It's kinda funny.
"Mum. It's fine. You're a grown women. I'm not your mum, I can't tell you what to do." I say. She smiles and hugs me before I gave her breakfast. We sat down and was getting ready to eat when Henry ran down stairs.
"Hey Kiddo. I made-"
"By." And he's out the door. Me and mum sigh and eat are breakfast. When we finished I made mum a coffee and me a tea when Alexa came running in.
"AMMIE!!" Alexa says running into the kitchen. I almost spilt my tea by the sudden shout and my mum looks at me confused as Alexa never just barges in our house like that.
