Bernard: "I can't hold my feelings back anymore. I feel like I'm going mad. Like I can't fight it anymore. It's building up inside me. I keep thinking about doing violent things. The thoughts just get worse and worse everyday. I'm scared. I'm scared Max. I'm scared that I might hurt somebody. Or myself. I don't know what to do anymore. I don't know what I want to do anymore. You've always been the voice of reason. Help me. Tell me what to do. I don't want to become Tøny, Max. I don't want to give in to my desires."
Max: "It's okay. You've been doing a great job fighting it already. Don't put so much pressure on yourself, okay? The Bernard I know will never hurt anyone. You're strong, and you got this. We'll talk more when I get back from Orlando. Is that alright with you?"
Marcus: "We found these voice messages amongst his chats with Max."
Susie: "I think he's been possessed by a spirit named Tøny. He thinks he's a fifty year old man, and he keeps claiming he's done terrible things."
Doctor: "Oh no no no, I assure you, that is far from the case. Your son was shocked by the accident. So shocked that he went into a coma for a whole year. It is much more likely that your son is suffering from dissociative amnesia. His brain went into panic mode after seeing his beloved brother die in front of him, and to protect himself from the trauma, not only did his brain completely shut down as you already know, but also suffered from massive memory loss, causing him to forget who he is."
Susie: "My poor boy, having seen that drunkard crash into his brother right in front of him, must've really done a number on him. Oh what are we gonna do?!"
Marcus: "Wait, but that doesn't explain the Tøny situation. How did that happen?"
Doctor: "From what I have gathered, it is likely that your son personified the more bitter side of himself, all his hatred and anger, all his disturbing thoughts, into some sort of character named Tøny. Now whether this character is based off a real person, or some sort of fictional character is unclear. Maybe he's entirely made up by Bernard himself. What is clear to me is that Bernard took over the identity of this Tøny, in order to deal with the trauma."
Susie: "And will this amnesia ever reverse itself?"
Doctor: "Most cases of dissociative amnesia do reverse themselves in time. However, based on the circumstances of your son, we can't make any predictions with certainty. The truth to the matter is, we can only wait and hope that his memories will come back in time."
Susie: "Oh dear lord, please help my son recover from this."
