"Oh,you two are back. What happen?!" Ranpo immediately asks as Dazai and I walk into the office. Almost everyone was gone and the office was casted in a golden glow due to the sunset occurring outside. The only ones I saw were Ranpo and Kunikida. It appeared everyone else went home. "It was dreadful! She...she committed suicide!" Dazai says as he places a hand onto his chest and one on his forehead in a dramatic manner. "No,that's not what happen." I said walking over to my desk and sitting down as I place my head on to the table. I was exhausted. Today had been a long day. "Oh,she got killed by one of the girls,yes?" Ranpo hums as I lift my head and look to him. "How did you..."Ranpo chews on his pocky"I read over the case. It wasn't hard to figure out. But also,I kinda just guessed." He then offers me the treat as I place my head back onto the desk. "Y/N is tired of you if you couldn't tell." Dazai says"anyway,I'll be going! Later!" "No you're not Dazai. You have to write the report. Something tells me Y/N did more work than you." Kunikida states"no,he was the one who figured it out..."I trail off as I shut my eyes. "I'll do it...later..."I mutter as Kunikida hums. "Well,with that,I take my leave! See ya!" Dazai announces as he shuts the door. I heard Ranpo talking but I was so out of it that I wasn't sure who he was talking to. I eventually fell asleep.

Time skip

When I woke up I felt warmth consume me though that was followed by some pain. I lifted my head and looked around to see that I was still in the office. Almost all the lights were off except Fukuzawa's office light. At first I thought the man was still here until I heard soft snoring from cross from me. I glanced to see Ranpo curled up his chair,he seemed very peaceful. I realized that his cape was missing as I quickly realized where the warmth was coming from. I felt my cheeks burn as I looked to Ranpo. I never expected him to do such a thing. Watch it was Fukuzawa who did it...that sounds more accurate. I yawned and reached for my bag which had my phone in it. I pulled it out to see if read 11pm. I rubbed my eyes and glanced to the window next. I was asleep for what...? Five and a half hours? Geez. I placed my phone into my bag along with my laptop as I stood up. I shrugged the brown cape off and set it on the desk as I placed my bag onto my shoulder. I then picked up Ranpo's cape and walked around to his desk. I placed my hand gently on his shoulder and gave it a light shake. "Ranpo,get up." He let out a soft groan as I continued to do it. "Ranpo,it's late. We need to head home." Ranpo eventually opened his eyes,his green eyes looking into mine. "Oh..."he yawns"you're awake. Good morning." He gives me a sleepy smile as I smile back"it's eleven at night. Let's head home." Ranpo nods and stands up. "O-Oh,I have your cape." I say handing it to him"oh,thanks." He places it around his shoulders and yawns once more. "I'm sleepy..."he mutters as I nod"I bet so. Now let's get going." Ranpo walks over to the office door as I cut off the light in Fukuzawa's office before leaving with Ranpo.

It was quite chilly outside tonight. But it made sense considering it was late into the night. We exited the brick building as Ranpo's hand slipped into mine. "Can I sleep at your place? Mine is to far..."he trails off still tired. "I suppose so..."we made our way towards my apartment in a comfortable silence. "That was nice of you to stay behind with me...you didn't need to though." Ranpo hummed"what kind of a boyfriend would I be if I left you by yourself at such a place?" I then became flustered by his words. "W-Who was the last one at the office?" "Fukuzawa." He answers"he tried to wake you up,but I said no since you were sleeping. So he just nodded and wished me a goodnight and left." I nod as Ranpo continues"so then he left,I ran out of snacks and got bored since you were asleep. So I like...did a lot of stuff I probably wasn't supposed to and then I got tired and went to sleep." "And what were these things you 'weren't supposed to do'?" "Oh I got bored and couldn't find any paper so I used some old cases. Kunikida is probably gonna be mad but I don't really care. I was soooo bored!" He groaned as we approached the building. We walked down the hall and I unlocked the door,allowing the man to enter.

He walks in first and I follow suit. He kicks off his shoes and I do the same,placing my things down by the door. I take my phone out as Ranpo shuffles his way down the hall. "Let's go to sleep. I'm sleepy." He states"ah! Wait!" I called after him as the boy pauses and looks to me"what? I'm sleepy. Hurry up." "W-We can't sleep in the same bed! I-It's-" "what's the issue? We're dating. I don't see a problem with it." He then continued his way towards my bedroom. "There isn't a problem it's just..."he pushes open the bedroom door and walks over to the bed and flops down onto it. "What?" "We haven't been dating for long and it'll be weird!" Ranpo looks over to me with a tired expression"who cares? Just come lay down." He takes a hand up to his cape and tugs it off and then throws it on the floor. Next he does his hat and sets it on the side table. "Come onnnn." He groans as he sits up and looks to me. I think he could tell I was very unsure about all of this. He fumbles with his tie and eventually gets it untied after multiple attempts. He throws it on top of this brown cape and then gets up and walks over to me. "Since you're to stupid to do it yourself,I'll help you." He takes both my hands and drags me over to the bed.

I sit down beside him on the bed. "Was that so hard? Nooo." He yawns which causes me to yawn,the two of us look at each other for a few seconds before laughing. "I can take your phone and charge it." He says as I hand him my phone. He leans over and grabs the phone charger and then plugs it into the phone,before setting it on the side table on top of his hat. "Oh,can I cut on the hall light?" He asks as I nod,knowing of his hatred of the dark. He gets up and walks out into the hall. He flips on the light and rushes back into the bedroom and cracks the door a little. "Better." He walks back over and lays down onto the bed. He pulls the blankets up as I continue to sit and watch him. "Aren't you gonna lay down? Are you broken?" I blinked out of my thoughts and nodded"y-yes..."I shuffle about until I'm laying down. "Goodnight,N/N. I love you." Ranpo rolled over when he said that. I stayed staring at my ceiling with flustered cheeks. "G-Goodnight Ranpo...love you to..."
