Korey's POV:

Tomorrow is my 18th birthday,to be honest I'm actually kinda excited,scared but excited,at least Mason promised he'll be with me

I wonder how my life will be going after I shift,I sighed and got snapped out of my thoughts when I heard a knock,'who could it be? Mom said that she wouldn't be back till night,it's only 2:21pm' I mumbled as I got up and went to answer the door

I opened the door and to my surprise I see my 4 best friends glaring at me,"Mya? Ryan? Liam? Leah?,what are you guys doing here?" I questioned

They all welcomed themselves inside and I closed the door,"well,since it's been nearly 2 months since we saw our best friend we wondered where he was" Liam said while glaring at me

"Dude,where the fuck have you been? You dropped out or something?" Ryan asked while folding his arms and leaning back on the wall

"Uhm...-" I started,"not only you,Mason also disappeared" Mya added,I gulped,how the fuck am I gonna explain this to them? What a fucking headache

"Get ready for a long and wild story guys" I said dramatically while sitting on couch,Liam,Leah and Mya also sat down but Ryan decided to just stay standing and leaning on the wall

After explaining everything~

I waited impatiently for their response but they just stared at me blanky,"say something" I mumbled,"what the fuck" Leah said while sitting up straight

"This is troublesome" Liam mumbled,rather calm about the situation,"How are you not freaking out?"Leah asked while frantically looking at Liam,Mya and Ryan

"So Mason is your mate? I see you" Mya giggled,"why aren't you freaking out?"I asked,"Mya and I are beta's,Liam is a Vampire" Ryan explained calmly

I was shocked but before I could say anything Leah screamed,"WHAT THE FUCK,MY BEST FRIENDS ARE SUPERNATURAL FREAKS?!"

My heart pained at the word 'freak',"we're not freaks Leah" Mya mumbled,her eyes sparkling as tears filled them,Leah eyes soften,"you being a beta..is that the reason you rejected me? because I'm not your so called 'mate' Mya?" She questioned as tears also filled her eyes and her voice cracked

Ryan and Liam gaved me a look and I nodded as the three of us went into the kitchen to give them space,after a few moments of silence

"BUT I LOVE YOU MYA,WHY DOES THIS FUCKING 'MOON GODDESS' HAVE TO TELL YOU WHO YOU HAVE TO LOVE??" we heard Leah yell

"I REJECTED YOU BECAUSE WE'RE DIFFERENT LEAH,AND I DON'T KNOW IF YOU ARE MY MATE" Mya yelled back

"EVER HEARD OF THE TERM 'OPPOSITES ATTRACT?" Leah yelled

It went silent after that and we heard the door slam,Ryan went out and we followed,we saw Mya on the floor crying and Leah no where to be found

Ryan rushed to her and started stroking her hair,"I love her Ryan...I really do,but it's just impossible for her to be my mate" she cried

"It's not impossible" I said,"the chances are low,yes,but it's not impossible,she could be your mate" I continued

Ryan nodded,"he's right Mya" he said,Mya continued crying

An hour later~

Mya fell asleep and Ryan carried her home,Liam left a while after

'What a day' I sighed

I went up to my room and sat on my bed,I started thinking about tomorrow,"would I be in alot of pain that I might die?" I asked Kiran

"No,you wouldn't die Korey,yes you'll be in a lot of pain but I will try to make it less painful than it should be" Kiran answered

I nodded but couldn't stop worrying about the pain I'll have to feel tomorrow,I sighed 'maybe a nice cold shower would do' I mumbled as I stripped naked and wrapped my towel around my waist and went to the bathroom

After showering~

I stared at myself in the mirror,the water dripping off of my hair and body,and those light scars that Jackson left behind,I touched one of the scars and sighed

I exited the bathroom and dried myself,I put on a big shirt and my boxers,I turned off the lights and lay in my bed I sighed again and slowly drifted off into a restless slumber

Mason's POV:

I didn't see Korey for the entire day.i wonder how he's holding up since he's gonna be shifting tomorrow and turning 18,I didn't get to see him because I had to learn about an Alpha's duty

I'm now on my way to visit Korey,his mom told me she'll be back kinda late since she's preparing a path for Korey to shift,Korey's mom left me with the key to the house so I unlocked the door and welcomed myself in

I locked it back and went up to Korey's room,the door was slightly open and I saw Korey laying on his bed with his back turned to me

I entered and walked over to his sleeping face,Korey's features are so soft,he's even cuter when he's not frowning and worrying about stuff

The way his long curly fluffy hair is covering his eyes and his mouth is slightly open,it's so cute,his lips are so soft,I want to feel them on mine...

I leaned in,smelling his minty breath and his lavender shampoo scent,I gaved his lips a quick peck and climbed in his bed,I lay next to him,watching as his chest rise up and down

My mate truly is beautiful,I came closer to him and wrapped my  arms around his waist,he snuggled into me and I caressed his hair and slowly drifted off into a comfortable slumber

Kathrine's POV:

I ran into the forest,meeting up with Liam and his clan,Liam is one of Korey's best friends,I trust him with my son's life

"Hey Kathrine,so this is the space that Korey will shift,I asked to witches to put a barrier around so that no one that doesn't belong should enter,and incase someone happens to break the barrier,I have my clan to secure the area" Liam explained

"Thanks so much for the help Liam" I thanked,"of course,well,I'll be going now,I hope tomorrow goes well" he bid me farewell

I smiled and went back home,I'm excited to see my sons' wolf

My wolf is small,my fur is white as snow,mostly because I'm an Arctic Wolf

Koley's supposed to be shifting tomorrow as well,oh how I wish I could be there for both him and Kole but that's not likely

I arrived home and entered through the back door,i went up to Korey's room to find him sleeping with Mason beside him,I smiled knowing that my son has a good mate,I wish Kole's mate is good too
