Unbraided hair

I  find the herbs that I had seen earlier. I hear a stream around a bend. I didn't get the chance to brush through my hair earlier. Good thing I brought my pack. I go and sit by the stream and unbound my hair from the top of my head. It rumbles down in long curling waves, reaching past my waist. I grab my brush from my pack and begin to sing.

(Listen to song below) don't own song.

" I would bet my life , like I bet my heart.
That you were the one baby.
I've never been so sure of anything before.
You're driving my heart crazy.

I can't hold out
I can't hold back now
Like I've done before

Darling look at me
I've fallen like a fool for you
Darling can't you see
I'd do anything you want me to
I tell myself I'm in to deep
Then I fall a little farther
Every time you look at me
Every time you look at me"

I hear a twig snap behind me. I draw my sword and swing around to find Thorin. Staring at me.
I lower my sword and turn to hastily begin to braid my hair.
" I'm sorry I didn't mean to frighten you." He says

I ignore him and finish placing my hair on top of my head into a bun.
I gather my things and walk around him only to stop when he says

" You have a beautiful voice."
I look back over to him to see him staring at me.
I blush at his compliment .
" thank you." I say as I make my way back to the campsite. Him following close behind me.

*****Thorin POV********
I follow after Oriane to make sure she doesn't find any trouble. She does find the herbs she found earlier. She then goes and sits by a stream, pulling out a hairbrush. Then she begins unbinding her hair. I should turn away but I stop in place when her hair tumbles down her back. I just stare at her hair , noting the reds, golds and orange strands throughout . It's a color I've never seen on any Dwarrow dame before. I'm in awe of her beauty. Then I'm stunned when she begins to sing. My eyes close as she pours her heart out for a love that doesn't see her. As I lean against the tree my foot steps on a twig and it snaps. She draws her sword and faces me. Her hair blowing in the wind around her. I just stare at her for a few moments. Then clear my throat.
" I'm sorry I didn't mean to frighten you." She sheaths her sword and begins to gather her things. She walks past me and I can't help but say
" You have a beautiful voice." She stops and looks back at me. A blush coloring her cheeks. . She turns back around and tucks some hair that escaped her bun behind her ear.
" Thank you." She mumbles out to me. I smile at her shyness and follow behind her , back to the camp ground. I think back To that moment , the rest of the night of the warrior I saw by the stream with flaming locks of auburn hair. I knew in that moment
That with her unbound hair and her holding that sword at me...... she was my other half. My Warrior Goddess. My beautiful Dwarrow dame. My Fire Ruby. My One.
I don't sleep at all, Thinking over this revelation all night long.

****************************

I notice over the next few days that Thorin has been keeping a close eye on me. I don't know if it's because he saw me with my hair down or something else. But every time our eyes have met there's been an intensity in his. Like he's afraid I'll disappear if he doesn't keep a constant eye on me. I ask Balin about it but he just smiles refusing to as he says " Get in the middle of something he saw coming the first time we met." That leaves me with even more questions.
So I do what I do best with a problem I can't solve I go hunting. We had stopped at an old run down farmhouse. While Gandalf and Thorin were arguing , I let the others know that I need some time to myself and I'll be back before dark.
" Be careful Lass" says Bofur
I smirk at him as I strap on my bow and quiver
" Of course Master Bofur. Aren't I always?" I look back over my shoulder as Gandalf begins to stomp away. I hear Bilbo ask
" Gandalf where are you going?"
"To be with someone who has any kind of common sense."
" Who's that?"
"MYSELF MASTER BAGGINS. I've had enough of Dwarves for one day."
I leave before anyone can stop me.
