VIKTOR KRUM

THE DURMSTRANG STUDENTS had decided to take their seats at the Slytherin table, and luckily enough for them, Beckett invited Viktor Krum to sit across from him.

So there Cassie was, sitting in between her boyfriend Blaise and Viktor Krum himself.

Cassie was really enjoying the attention she was receiving from this. She hadn't even invited him to sit beside her and yet there he was. Draco seemed to be pissing himself in an attempt to get her attention. Maria and Eliza were having a very hard time controlling their excitement.

Girls looked at her in complete envy, and the boys did too. Cassie noticed the furious expressions on the Weasley twin's faces and felt smug.

Lucius Malfoy preached to his children on how to make good impressions on powerful people, so Cassie knew exactly what she was doing.

As the famous Quidditch player had sat down, Cassie had extended her hand to him. He took it with a smile and shook her hand.

"Hello," She had said pleasantly, "My name is Cassie. It's nice to meet you."

"'Ello Cassie." He said in a gruff Bulgarian accent. "It's nice to meet you as vel."

Cassie smiled at him, and he smiled back.

Dumbeldore gained the crowd's attention, and began his spiel.

"The tournament will be officially opened at the end of the feast," He said. "I now invite you all to eat, drink, and make yourselves at home!"

Food appeared before them, and they all began to dig in. Cassie ate slowly and in a poised manner, as her father had taught her to.

Beckett immediately started up a conversation with Viktor about what Durmstrang was like. Viktor almost seemed relieved that Beckett hadn't asked him about Quidditch.

"Vell, ve have a castle also, not as big as this, nor as comfortable, I am thinking. Ve have just four floors, and the fires are lit only for magical purposes. But ve have grounds larger even than these — though in vinter we have very little day-light, so ve are not enjoying them. But in summer ve are flying every day, over the lakes and the mountains —"

Everyone around them listened intently. Cassie shared a glance with Eliza and Maria, who both looked star-struck by him.

Cassie could practically feel the glares coming from the Weasley twins. She turned to look at them across the hall, and of course they were glaring at her.

Cassie raised her middle finger and touched it to the corner of her mouth, as if she was wiping a bit of food away. Their faces grew angrier. Fred rolled his eyes and George scowled. Cassie simply smirked at them as she placed her hands back in her lap. She turned her attention back to Viktor.

"She's such a smug, cocky little bi-"

"-Calm down Georgie." Fred said with a shake of his head, interrupting George before he said anything too mean.

George was glowering.

"I have never despised anyone as much as I do her."

"I know." Fred nodded. He shoved some more food in his mouth as George continued to rant to anyone around him who could hear him.

"And the worst part is, the Slytherins practically worship her!" He exclaimed. "The Hufflepuffs don't have anything bad to say about her, of course, they're too polite. The Ravenclaws don't seem to mind her. But personally, I think everyone should hate her."
