POTTER STINKS !

DETENTION WITH THE Weasleys went smoothly after the first incident. George and Fred didn't acknowledge Cassie anymore, and she ignored their mindless chatter.

Cassie hadn't told anyone else about what happened. She couldn't explain it herself, and honestly she planned to ignore the entire thing. It was best to forget about it for the time being.

The pressure of the first task was weighing on Cassie, but there was more pressing matters at hand.

Firstly, the buttons Draco had created.

SUPPORT CASSIE MALFOY THE REAL HOGWARTS CHAMPION

POTTER STINKS

In what seemed like only hours the buttons had spread across the school like wild fire. Every Hogwarts student (minus the Gryffindors) seemed to be sporting a button on their robe. Tensions were dangerously high between the Slytherins and Gryffindors, and this was taking things too far.

Cassie scowled at Eliza as the girl proudly pinned the button to her chest during lunch.

Eliza frowned at her. "What? It's supporting you Cas."

"I know that, but it makes me look like an ass." Cassie grumbled as she stabbed her salad too aggressively.

"So?" Beckett asked.

"I'm not against Potter. This isn't his fault." She grumbled.

Her friends all exchanged a glance that annoyed Cassie even more. She knew none of them believed her, and probably thought she was crazy for defending Harry.

Without a word, she pushed herself up and moved to talk to Draco.

"What's her problem?" Eliza said under her breath as Cassie left.

Beckett shrugged but Maria frowned at her.

"She's stressed, Liz."

Eliza rolled her eyes. "Whatever."

Cassie sat down beside Draco with a scowl.

"What the hell, Drac?"

Her brother looked up at her with raised eyebrows.
"What?"

Cassie grabbed the button off of his chest and held it up to his face.

Draco smirked.
"Like them?"

Cassie tossed it down on the table.
"No, they make me look like an ass." She said for the second time.

Her brother rolled his eyes.
"I thought you would like them."

"He worked really hard on them."
Pansy Parkinson added.

"Oh shut it, Parkinson." Cassie snapped without glancing at her.
"Stop giving these out Draco."

Draco looked away from her.
"Whatever Cas. I was just trying to help."

Cassie was seething as she turned away and marched out of the great hall. The girl adored her brother, and wanted nothing but successes for him... but Salazar could he be infuriating sometimes. Something was telling her she needed to apologize to Harry.
