ACT ONE

WEASLEY ?!
☆ ☆ ☆When the scores for the first task were finally given, Cassie was very pleased to learn she had came in first place.
In all fairness, she only beat Harry by 2 measly points. However, she thought Harry definitely had her beaten. Cassie had the shortest retrieval time though, and the judges seemed to be very impressed with her anti-fire charm.
Though almost everyone had made their way back to the castle, and Cassie knew Slytherin house was planning a massive party; the girl had stayed behind to teach Charlie the charm.
She liked the way he smiled when he got excited, his brown eyes lit up every time Cassie shot fire in his direction and it didn't harm him. Her bandaged leg was still burning and painful, but Cassie truthfully didn't care.
"This is incredible!" Charlie exclaimed. "Thank you, Cassie. Really, this is going to be so beneficial at the sanctuary."
Cassie shrugged, all of a sudden losing her immense amounts of confidence she eluded. Why did she suddenly feel...bashful? Could that be the correct word? I don't think i've ever felt shy in my lifetime...
"You're welcome." Cassie said, smiling lightly.
He moved to prop himself up on one of the tables outside the enclosure, and began to roll his sleeves back down his muscular forearms.
"You know, I can't really understand why my brothers dislike you so much. You're a delight to be around." He said.
Cassie tilted her head slightly to the side, as her brain began to put the puzzle pieces together the longer she looked at him...
Oh.
Oh Salazar no.
"You're a Weasley?!" Cassie sputtered out.
Charlie blinked up at her.
"Yeah...wasn't it obvious?"Cassie swallowed, a bad feeling growing in her stomach though she had just won the first task.
"But...you've been so nice to me..." Cassie said, confusion still laced in her voice.
"You've been nice to me." Charlie shrugged.
"I-..."
Cassie was at a loss for words as she had to stop herself from saying I didn't know you were a Weasley.
In her defense though, she couldn't ever recall a time she was ever outright mean to Ron or Percy."I get it." Charlie said lightly. "I'm supposed to hate you too, you know. My father does hate your father. My brothers hate you. Ron hates your brother."
Charlie made a good point. The animosity was never one-sided.
"I've never had much say in the whole blood feud thing." Charlie continued, speaking on the topic as if it were a game of Qudditch. "Your father might be horrid to my father-"
Charlie had paused as Cassie had opened her mouth to argue, but found herself shutting it a few seconds later. He wasn't wrong.
"-right." Charlie nodded. "However, I see no reason for there to be animosity between the two of us."
Cassie limped over to sit beside him, and take some of the pressure off of her injured knee. She pulled the miniature Swedish Shortsnout from her pocket and placed it on her thigh. The two watched it for a moment before Cassie spoke.
"The only Weasley i've ever outright disliked is George, and by association Fred. However, they gave me multiple reason to hate them, and continue to do so. I was raised to look down upon the Weasleys but...I don't know..."
