HAILEY POV
I was upstairs at the district working a case when Trudy came up and called me over to her.
TRUDY:"Hey upton some dude dropped this envelope off said to give it to you".
HAILEY:"A random dude not a mail man?
TRUDY:yep he had on a fancy suit so it must be important."
HAILEY:"Thanks.
I walked into the common room and opened it up.It was custody papers from Shane.My heart dropped and my eyes began to water but then I heard Kim yell."Guys adam and I found a 2 relatives connected to the victim."Hank told jay to go get me so me and him could to talk to them.He knocked on the door I quickly wiped my eyes and opened it.
JAY:''babe we have a tip on the case hank wants us the check it out."
HAILEY:okay let's go
I slipped the papers in my desk.
JAYS POV
Hailey and I got in the car it usually we make conversation but Hailey was really quiet.
JAY:"hails are you okay."
HAILEY:"yeah I'm fine."
JAY:"what was that envelope about?
HAILEY:"I don't want to talk about it right now ."
JAY:"you know you can tell me anything right."
HAILEY:okay uh Shane filled for full custody of seb".She said looking down trying not to cry.
I was furious but at the same time devastated.I have been close to seb even before Hailey and I became a couple.I took Hailey hand and she looked at me.
HAILEY:What if I lose him jay".
JAY:We wont
Once Hailey and I got to the location she got a phone call she stepped away for a moment to answer.
HAILEYS POV
Hailey picks up the phone
SHANE:Hey Hailey
HAILEY:Shane what the hell you decide your going to call me after the stunt you just pulled.
SHANE:Look I'm moving to canada, and I know you'd never let my take Sebastian with me so I had to do it the hard way.
HAILEY:The hard way?
Shane you could've just talked to me and we could've came up with something.When we got divorced we swore to never do something like this that could hurt Seb.But if you want to get the lawyers and all involved then we will just have to see what happens.
SHANE:I guess so
HAILEY:You barley even call or come and see Sebastian or when I want to take him to see to see you in new york your not in town or your to busy now you want to get full custody.
SHANE:That doesn't matter Hailey I'm only doing what's best for him.Canada will be a fresh start.I just think it's the best option, I have to go bye.
I walked back in the house jay saw me pissed off but he was speaking with the victim family so I just stayed quiet most of the time.
