HAILEYS POV
Jay and I were at sebs school getting ready to take him to his classroom.

HAILEY:So Seb your babysitter is going to pick you up after school me,Jay and the team are super busy today.
SEB:ouuu bad guys
JAY:Not today bud
HAILEY:And please listen to the babysitter,bed time is at 9 so if we aren't home by then just make sure your in bed okay.
SEB:Okay mommy
HAILEY:Alright love you
JAY:Later kid love ya.

Once me and Jay left we made our way to the courthouse to meet the team.

JAYS POV
Hailey and I are in the car when I looked at Hailey she looked so worried.

JAY:Hails I want you to know that this isn't your battle to fight alone,we're going though this together.We need to have hope and believe we won't lose Seb.
HAILEY:Thanks,I love you jay.

I took her hand and kissed it.

HAILEYS POV
We arrived at the courthouse to see the team wait out front we all said our hello's.

HANK:Hailey this is your lawyer Mark Shaw he's amazing at his job,One of the best lawyers in Chicago.
HAILEY:nice to meet you thank you for representing me.
MARK:nice to me you to,and no problem.

As we're all walking into the courtrooms we see Shane his lawyer,Shane looked at me but I just went to the defense table to take a seat Jay sat with the team on the benches.

JUDGE:This is case Upton vs Belova,
So mr.Belova your filing for full custody of your son Sebastian Belova upton?
SHANE:Yes your honor
JUDGE:How come your filing for custody of Sebastian belova?
SHANE: I want to be completely honest,I just genuinely think I'm a more fit parent then Hailey.She has a really important job and barley has time for a kid.

I was pissed after he said that I've been a cop for 10 years and I've always made time for my kid and he knows it.

MARK:Your honor I'm like to present to you a copy of officer upton a work schedule, permission to approach?
The judge signaled him to come forward.
JUDGE:I see okay,So you work from 9am to 5pm,so 8hours?
HAILEY:Yes your honor Sebastian is in school for 7 of those hours so I get home about and hour after him until I get there he has a babysitter so he's with her.
JUDGE:Okay  mr.Belova When was the last time you were employed?
SHANE:About a year but Im current looking for work.
JUDGE:So how do you make a living for yourself?
SHANE:A friend of mine works in construction,so when every time he has a job he calls me,we do what needs to be done and I get paid.
JUDGE:Okay do you have records of these jobs?
SHANE:yes your honor.

As his lawyer brought the records to the judge.

JUDGE:let's talk about both of your relationships with your kid.Would you both say it's a strong relationship or anything different?
HAILEY:Yes id say Sebastian and my relationship is strong anything other then that is false.
SHANE:Yeah I think him and I have a pretty strong relationship.Tho it could use improvement.
JUDGE:How come?
SHANE:I haven't seen him much this year,Because of haileys selfishness and issues with leaving the pass in the pass.
HAILEY:Your honor I'm sorry for speaking when not asked but respectful,But this man if no good to anyone not even his own kid he blames me for his absence when it's truly his fault.
JUDGE:Officer upton and mr.Belova this is not the time nor the place for this.I understand both of you guys frustration but I need you both to remain calm.

The judge paused for about 10 seconds to give us time to calm down.

Okay Let's continue.I've looked over both of your records seems officer upton you've never been in any legal trouble but,for you mr.belova that's a different story.
You have a DUI from 2 years ago what's that about.
SHANE:I went out and partied with some friends,But everyone does that I don't see the problem.
JUDGE:The problem is that that's against the law.Okay I think I've heard enough for today I will have a verdict for you both tomorrow,make sure you are both here at 2pm.Court is adjourned.

Everyone was in the hallway about to leave,jay went to go use the bathroom

HANK:guys we got a case we have to go Hailey you and Jay can get the rest of the day off.

Shane and his lawyer were on the way out when they were passing me Shane whispered in my ear "If I win you'll never see Sebastian again".My heart dropped all I could do was stand there no reaction.Then jay walked out the bathroom.

JAY:Alright you ready to go?
HAILEY:Uh yeah come on.

Shane's words were the only thing I could thing about for the rest of the day.
