Leader?

Things were finally getting better after that night with donnie. Leo stopped running into battle and tried to show up to more missions per raphs request.

Donnie had clearly told raph and mikey about what happened because they were alot more patient with him now and leo was grateful for that.

Months had gone by and things were great...

Then the shredder had returned, Big mama had been controlling him. And as if things couldn't get any worse foot recruit had gotten her hands on the ring and forced them all to retreat. After that they had gone to twilight realm to retrieve a mystic weapon to defeat him which turned out to be their great great great HOWEVER MANY GREATS grandma but letting karai out of the twilight realm released shredder from his prison.

Gram gram was awesome and leo had grown attached to her in the short time they had together.

Then the shredder came, and gram gram was gone.

And so was the lair... and draxum and dad.

They had fled again to Todd's puppy farm and worked on releasing their hamato zimpo- nimpo*

They had saved dad and had even gained a new friend, Cassandra Jones.

Eventually they had defeated shredder and everything was fine...

untill dad had announced him as the new leader...

Things weren't great anymore.

After their old lair was left in complete shambles, beyond any sort of repair. They were forced to relocate to a new area. In hindsight they didn't move to far, they were still in the new york sewers and only fifteen miles away from their old home.

The new lair was almost identical. An abandoned sewer tunnel with a massive auditorium, branching off into more tunnels. The move in didn't take long... considering they lost almost everything in the collapse.

Leo tried acting optimistic, simply trying to lift his family's sour mood after everything that had happened in that short amount of time.

He made jokes and tried to start conversations with them but they were giving him the complete silent treatment.

'Oh and blue, you are the leader now.'

How can one simple sentence ruin so much.

Him leader? Yeah right. there was no way leo could amount to the leader raph was! What dad was thinking leo had no idea. He had argued with splinter so much that night. Apparently he was fit to be leader and he was just supposed to deal with it. He figured after a week or so splinter would come to his senses and things would be back to normal. But it didn't.

His brothers had avoided him, sending him glares whenever he was in the same room as them. Leo felt horrible. He understood why they were mad, he had practically just taken the title which had belonged to raph their entire lives.

Dad had given them a month of no patrols or missions for them to get more acquainted with the change of roles, but they refused to try. They had left the room when he entered, avoided all conversations with the slider and leo had heard them talking behind his back a few times.

He didn't understand why they were acting this way, he hadn't wanted the title, they should be mad at dad not him.

Oh, and were they mad at dad alright... they argued with him practically every day.

Then the month was over and it was time to patrol again.

They had left the lair in silence and ran along the rooftops as they normally did... only this time leo was infront. It felt strange and wrong.
