It was 10 am in the morning and a girl was getting ready in a hurry. She's getting late to reach the headquarters today as she had to work overtime on some paperwork regarding a case.

She got ready hurriedly and literally ran outside her bedroom and picked up her bag. She was going to leave but her cook Meena, stopped her and said...

Meena - Are Koel madam, breakfast to kar lijiye. Aap har roz 8 baje kha leti hai but aaj to aapko kuch zyada hi der ho gayi. Kuch khakar to jayiye?

Koel (In a hurry) - Nahi Meena, main already bahot late hu. Mujhe abhi nikalna hoga. Mujhe vo apple de de, main vo hi kha lugi raste me.

Meena - Par madam....

Koel interrupted her and said...

Koel (Impatiently) - Meena, abhi argument mat karna yaar. Main already late hu. Vo apple de jaldi...!!!

Meena gave her an apple and Koel literally ran from there towards her jeep and left from there.

She reached the headquarters and straightaway went to her cabin. Her junior, Left. Khan was there with a file already, to take her sign on it. Koel said...

Koel - Khan, Major Siddiqui aanewale the, vo aa gaye kya?

Left. Khan - Nahi madamji, Col. Sharma ne aapko abhi unhe lene jane bola hai.

Koel (While signing some files) - To jeep nikal, hum abhi nikal rahe hai.

Left. Khan - Ji behtar hai, madamji.

And he left from there. After five minutes, he came back and said...

Left. Khan - Madamji, jeep ready hai.

Koel nodded and got up while putting her beret on her head properly and left from there with Khan to pick up Faizi.

They reached the Delhi Airport. Faizi was already standing there, waiting for someone to receive him from the airport. Koel asked Khan to check the flight details. After checking the details, he said...

Left. Khan (Pointing at Faizi) - Lagta hai yahi Major Sahab hai, Madamji.

Koel nodded her head and got down from her jeep. She went in front of Faizi and said...

Koel (Trying to confirm his identity) - Major Siddiqui???

Faizi (With a smile) - And you must be Captain Koel Roy, ke jinhe hume yaha lene bheja hai...!!!

Koel (Plainly) - Chaliye, Major.

Faizi nodded and they both started to walk towards the jeep while Khan took Faizi's luggage. Faizi said...

Faizi (While walking, a little mischievously) - Vaise Captain... aap five minutes late hai.

Faizi (Chuckling a little) - Are hum to mazaak kar rahe the, Captain. Aap to khamakha bura maan gayi...!!!

Koel looked at Faizi and said...

Koel (Without a smile) - No, Major. Main late aayi thi to meri hi to galti hai na...!!! Mujhe aur punctual hona chahiye tha.

Faizi was dumbstruck as he didn't know how to answer her, after listening this but he said anyway...

Faizi (With a little smile) - Aapko pata hai Captain, aap na conversation killer hai. Aap itni serious kyu rehti hai? Kabhi kabar smile karna gunaah me nahi aata hai...!!!

Hume lagta hai ke har insaan ko apni zindagi me hamesha khush rehna chahiye, chahe situation kaisi bhi ho...!!! Aapko kya lagta hai, Captain???

Koel looked at him and thought about this for a few seconds but said...

Koel (Devoid of any kind of expressions) - Har koi apni zindagi me khush rahe, iske liye ek vajah ka hona bahot hi zaroori hai, Major. Main vo vajah saat saal pehle hi kho chuki hu aur tabse hi hasna jaise bhul si gai hu... Please, don't mind me par, main hamesha se aise hi rahi hu aur aisi hi rahugi. Itna aasan nahi hai mere liye khud ko badal pana.

Faizi understood that there's something wrong with Koel's past and that's why she couldn't smile, even if she's happy. He said...

Faizi (Smiling a little) - No pressure, Captain. Har ek ki zindagi me problems bhi hoti hi hai, aapki zindagi me bhi hogi.

Chaliye jaane dete hai is baat ko. Ye bataiye ke aap yaha, Delhi Headquarters me kabse hai?

Koel - Mujhe bhi bas abhi six months hi hue hai yaha, Major. Isliye mujhe bhi zyada kuch pata nahi hai Delhi ke baare me... Par haa, Left. Khan ko sab pata hai yaha ke baare me. Aapko jab bhi yaha ki koi information chahiye ho to aap sidha Left. Khan ko keh sakte hai.

Faizi nodded in understandment and looked at Left. Khan. He said...

Faizi (Smilingly) - To Khan Miyan, yahi se hai aap?

Left. Khan - Ji, Sirji. Hum yahi pale - bade hai. Aapko jab bhi yaha ke baare me information chahiye ho, to aap hume yaad kijiyega, hum aa jayege, Sirji.

Faizi - Ji bilkul, ab to teen saalo tak yahi rehna hai hume. Delhi bhi dekh hi lege.

After some minutes, they reached the headquarters and Khan took Faizi's luggage and left from there. Koel said...

Koel - Let's go, Major. Vo aapke kamre me aapka samaan rakh dega. Tab tak aap Col. Sharma se mil lijiye aur fir mujhe aapse ek case ke regarding baat karne ko aur aapko uske baare me brief karne ko kaha gya hai.

Faizi - Ji thik hai. Aap chaliye, hum unhe report karke aate hai.

Koel - Nahi, main aapka cabin ke bahar hi wait karti hu, aap aa jayiye.

Faizi - Ji, behtar hai.

Faizi went inside Col. Sharma's cabin and Koel stood outside, waiting for him. After a while, he came outside and said...

Faizi (In a serious tone) - Chaliye, Captain. Hume is case me bahot hi zyada kaam hai. Ali Muzaffar ki case file dikhaiye.

Koel (Nodding her head) - Yes, Major. Arms and Ammunitions me deal karta hai vo aur vo bhi humari hi Army ke...!!!

Faizi - To Captain, apne sare informers ko kaam pe lagayiye. Mujhe ye banda kaise bhi chahiye...!!!

Koel nodded and they both came into the briefing room to discuss the case. And like this, it was their first meet...
