It's been three days and Karan hasn't came back to the base yet. Monami was worried as hell for him. She was so worried for him that she wasn't sleeping and eating well from last three days.

Actually, she was more scared than just worried as the mission was already over and Karan had informed her that he will be returning to her soon but didn't come back as he said.

She wanted to talk to her commanding officer but didn't because she trusted his words over any worry. Her heart didn't want to wait anymore but her mind said otherwise.

It was past dinner time. She was on the rooftop, at their usual meeting place. She was standing near an edged wall and was looking downwards from there. She crossed her hands across her chest and closed her eyes as she was trying to calm her nerves and herself down.

At that very moment, someone hugged her from behind. Although, it was the first time for both of them to hug eachother like this but she recognised his touch. She immediately turned around to face him and saw a head injury on his head. She touched the injury lightly and asked...

Monami (A little worriedly) - Karan, ye kya hai? Aapko chot kaise lagi? Aur aapne to kaha tha na ke aap vapas aa rahe hai to fir aapko three days kaise ho gaye?

Karan was still holding her and staring at her with love. He didn't answer her so, she got irritated and hit him on his shoulder but Karan hissed because of that hit. Monami said...

Monami (Hurriedly) - Oh My God, I'm so sorry...!!! Kya aapko goli lagi hai Karan? Kya aap ghayal hue the vaha?... Kuch to boliye aap...!!!

Karan understood her worries and fear of something happening to him so, he said...

Karan (Cupping her face) - Monami, main bilkul thik hu, mujhe kuch nahi hua. Tumhare samne hi to khada hu na main?

She had tears by then and hugged him tightly as if her life depended on that but taking the note of his wound carefully. He reciprocated the hug and kissed her forehead. He said to lighten her mood...

Karan (Mischievously) - Maine to socha tha ke main jab vapas lautuga to tum mera checkup karke mujhe thik kar dogi but tumne mujhe itna zorse hug kiya hua hai ke mujhe firse pain shuru na ho jay, Doctor Sahiba...!!!

Monami didn't break the hug and said...

Monami (With some tears) - I terribly missed you, Karan. Main aapko bata nahi sakti ke aapko apne samne sahi salaamat dekhke main kitni khush hu. Please, aisa dubaara mat kijiyega Karan, varna pata nahi main kya karugi...!!!

Karan (Still hugging her) - Oh hello madam, kahi aap mujhse pyaar - vyaar to nahi karne lagi na?... Kyuki aisa hai to main aapko bata du ke...

But he couldn't finish his sentence as Monami interrupted him and confessed...

Monami - Main aapse bahot zyada pyaar karti hu, Karan. Behtar hoga ke aap ye stunt mujhpe dubaara na aazmaye varna main aapko chhodugi nahi, ye samajh lijiye aap...!!!

Karan had a broad smile on his face listening this. He tightly hugged her out of happiness and said...

Karan (With happy tone) - Main bhi tumse bahot pyaar karta hu, Monami. I'm so happy today as mujhe aaj vo sunne ko mila hai jiske baare me maine aaj tak sirf aur sirf socha hi tha.

(Cupping her face) Thank you for coming into my life. Thank you for loving me and thank you for completing me.

Monami (Mischievously) - Ye to meri lines hai. Aapne kyu kahi? Ab mere pass kuch nahi hai kehne ko, aap bas mere I Love You se hi kaam chalayiye...!!!

And hugged him while smiling mischievously. He also smiled and kissed her forehead. Suddenly, Monami said...

Monami (Suspiciously) - Wait a minute... Aapne kaha ke aap is pal ka intezaar kar rahe the ke main aapko I Love You bolu, right? (Karan nodded) To aapko mujhse pyaar kab hua?

Karan (With a sweet smile) - Jab maine tumhe pehli baar dekha tha, chaar saal pehle. Tum bahot hi masoom si dikh rahi thi tab aur dari hui bhi. Pata nahi tumme aisa kya tha jo mujhe tumhari taraf ek khichav mehsoos karva raha tha. Mujhe tab ye ehsaas ho chuka tha ke agar main kisi ke sath apni puri zindagi bitauga to vo ho tum but fir hum alag ho gaye. Tumse interact karne ka na koi mauka mila aur na hi koi rasta tha. Tum apne ghar se tak ja chuki thi.

It was so overwhelming for her that she started to tear up a little, seeing his love for her. She asked further...

Monami - Fir jab hum dubaara mile to aapne mujhe sachchai kyu nahi batayi, Karan?

Karan (Hugging her sideways) - Kyuki main chahta tha ke tum agar mujhe pasand bhi karo na, to mujhe as a person jaankar karo, na ki out of gratitude ke maine tumhari jaan bachayi thi.

Monami (In a matter of fact tone) - Kya Karan, main koi special case thodi thi tab...!!! Main bhi unhi civilians me se aati thi jiski har ek soldier jaan bachata hai. Aapne meri jaan bachayi kyuki ye aapka farz tha, aapka mission tha. Aur koi reason nahi tha mujhe bachane ka.

Karan - Magar mere liye to tha, Monami. It was personal for me, tumhe dekhte hi mujhe ye ehsaas ho gya tha ke meri life me agar koi meri life partner ki jagah le sakti hai to vo sirf aur sirf tum hogi.

Monami (Realising something) - Are you... Are you proposing me?

Karan (In a little confusion) - I was... I was planning on doing that but it's not the right place and time. We'll discuss about this later. Kal main tumhe kahi le jaana chahta hu, chalogi mere sath?

Monami - Aapko puchhne ki koi zaroorat nahi hai, Karan. Kitne baje jaana hai hume?

Karan - Subhe 5 baje nikalna hai hume.

Monami - Itna jaldi...???!!! Hum kahi dur ja rahe hai kya?

Karan - It's a surprise, Monami. Kal batauga na main. Abhi sone chalo.

Monami - Haa, thik hai. (In a strict tone) Magar pehle main aapka checkup karugi aur fir aap apni davaiya bhi khayege aur fir sone jayege, thik hai?

Karan (Rolling his eyes) - Ji Doctor Sahiba...!!!

Monami giggled seeing his expressions and they both went towards the infirmary to do his checkup...
