Mona woke up. It was pitch black outside her window. She looked at her phone.
22nd January
Saturday
12:50am
"Yes. Finally." She said in relief.
She almost immediately fell asleep after that. When she woke up, it was 11:22am. She got up, brushed her teeth and had her breakfast.
"You looked really peaceful when you were sleeping so I decided not to wake you up." Her mother said.
"It's okay mom. It's a weekend, so I don't mind."
After having breakfast, Mona took the book and visited her neighbour.
"Good morning sir." She greeted him as he opened the door.
"Oh Mona, good morning, come on in." The 30 year old calm looking man said.
After they settled down in the living room, Mona gave him the book.
"Thank you for allowing me to read this, Dr. Stephen." She said.
"You're welcome, my dear." He said taking the book from her. "So who was the time loop?"
"At first, I was confused but then I did random stuff here and there. And since the day would repeat, I decided to learn how it works and finally I managed to crack it." Mona said fiddling with her necklace.
"How long did you spend in that loop?" Stephen asked.
"About 21 days." Mona said.
"Not bad. It took my wife 2 months and my brothers 3 and a half months to crack it."
"Is ma'am here?"
"She's out for some work."
"Oh. I was wondering why you talked about this so openly."
"You guessed correctly."
"Anyways I'll take my leave sir." Mona said getting up.
"Sure. Come by if you know someone who wants to be in a time loop."
Mona left the house and Stephen went back to his chair.
He took out a piece of paper from the book binding.
"Although it took her 3 weeks which is a new record, if she had removed the bindings of the book then it would have been over 2 and a half weeks earlier."
The paper had the following.
