For those who are wondering, the other version of this book is still beating me over the head with writer's block, but an update is coming within the week. -T.A.L.A.

Chipper lay awake for awhile, hidden behind thick, green curtains, Chipped Fang at his side.

'Do you think the sickly one will betray us?' Chipped Fang had questioned.

'Who knows?' Had been his only possible response.

They had fallen into silence, as they often did, after that. They didn't need to talk, all the ceaseless chatter and discomforting silences were such a human thing. The need to avoid a little quiet was laughable. It was in quiet they watched as Malfoy slowly stirred awake. It took him a moment, but anger eventually surged and he practically marched over to their side. He hadn't expected this to happen so soon, if at all, for the Malfoy heir to act so directly and without planning behind it. Progress.

"Get up." Malfoy kicked his bed, hard, with the flat of his foot, C- Harry watched from behind the locked curtains, he hadn't seen this coming, but it certainly suited the platinum blond better than all the posturing. "Get up!" He glared huffing for several long moments, and Harry took it to ponder what was going to happen next.

The curtains had spells so that, when fully shut and locked, sound on either side was considerably muffled, he could hear ever so slightly the shakily breaths of Nott, the louder snores of Goyle, the trained ones of Crabbe, and the quiet snores of Phineas, all asleep, with only Phineas and Crabbe showing any signs of waking.

This was Malfoy's doing, and his doing alone. And he didn't want witnesses.

That suited Chipper just fine too.

A small object, it's purpose he didn't know hit the curtains and tumbled to the floor cracking and now Phineas was nearing wakefulness and Nott showed signs of stirring. He pushed his curtains open with a quiet whisper to Chipped Fang to stay behind and observe. He had wanted to watch them rage for longer, but clearly that wouldn't be possible as Malfoy did not understand the meaning of the word stealthily.

"Did you need something?" Harry slid out of bed, pristine and fully dressed. A large contrast to Malfoy's wrinkled clothes and messed up hair despite the Malfoy heir also still being dressed in his uniform.

Malfoy glared fiercely, "I've had enough of you! This was supposed to be mine! Hogwarts was my chance to shine and prove myself. I was supposed to be leading Slytherin and then you came along and have ruined everything for me!" He panted, "Nobody else could possibly stand up to me and my father's too busy insisting that I have to make nice with the precious Potter heir to care and somehow you got Snape on your side too!? It's not fair! Why do you get to have everything that was supposed to be mine!? You're nothing! Just another alleyway orphan who's parents didn't love them enough to make smarter choices during the war!"  He wondered who's words they were parroting.

He could hear the commotion was waking people up, Crabbe was stirring and Phineas and Nott were just seconds from wakefulness. "So what are you going to try and do about it?" He asked, "Yell at me in the middle of the night in the dorm some more?"

The Malfoy heir seethed, "I'm challenging you to a wizards duel; you and me, right here, right now."

Harry scoffed and exited the room, holding the door open long enough so that Malfoy could hear him, "I'm not fighting you in the dorm room." He much preferred if they weren't followed.
