"I-it hurts!" He cries out loudly, his voice echoing into the night. The loudness of it bounces around the corridors of the vacant street.
Hoseok is by his side immediately, examining the way Taehyung holds his leg. He coughs a bit from struggling to catch his breath but his nose picks up on the scent of fresh blood. He's surprised by the fact that he can smell it before he even sees it, and blinks up at Seokjin when he approaches them.
"W-what happened?!" The older male is out of breath as well, wheezing harshly and eyes frantically searching Taehyung's crouched body.
Hoseok removes Taehyung's hand from his leg, just above his right knee, and sighs. A bullet wound. Bloody and oozing out and Hoseok gulps, feeling his mouth start to salivate. Dark red. He can see the dark red color of it amongst a plethora of greys and blacks. It stands out, smells so tempting. Hoseok distracts himself with shrugging off his heavy backpack and removing his hoodie. He then removes his shirt, using it to wrap the wound.
"We must've shot him when we were shooting at that monster," he huffs out, tying the shirt tightly around the injured boy's leg. Taehyung cries out in pain.
"I'm so sorry, Tae."
"We gotta go," Seokjin says, looking around them in a freaked out panic. "More will come because of the gunshots."
He helps Hoseok haul Taehyung up, all three of them still huffing and panting. He eyes the dead creature just a few feet away from them before squinting around the dark street. Because the were no street lights, the place was eerily dark. He could only make out the silhouettes of buildings.
They attempt to walk forward while Taehyung held on to their shoulders but they moved sluggishly. After exerting nearly all their energy on running from the beast, they were all pretty drained. They knew they had to get back soon, though. If not for Taehyung's health, then for everyone who was relying on them.
But after ten minutes of trudging through the abandoned streets, weak and fatigued, Seokjin noticed something off about Hoseok. Maybe it was the way he was still panting harshly beside him or the fact that he let out curses occasionally, but Seokjin felt like something was off.
Everytime Taehyung moaned in pain, Seokjin was quick to shush and comfort him, but Hoseok stayed silent. And whenever Seokjin was about to run into some type of debris, Hoseok guided them away from it. But how can he see the almost pitch black road?
"Hoseok," he says quietly but it comes out as more of a question. "Are you hurt?"
Hoseok glances at Seokjin, seeing his sweaty face. He shakes his head but forgets that Seokjin can't see. "I'm fine. Are you okay?"
Jin nods before turning to stare ahead of them, trying to make out the different shapes in the night. "You can see, right?" He questions though he seems like he already knows the answer.
Hoseok swallows down the build up of saliva in his mouth. "Yeah, I can. Everything's still monotoned, though."
Taehyung grunts and loses strength in his left leg. Hoseok and Seokjin hold up his deadweight. "C-can we stop?" He whimpers, head hanging with his hair ruffled in his eyes. His body feel cold.
"Tae, we gotta keep going." Hoseok reminds him, adjusting his weight on his shoulder. His back burns from caring the heavy backpack as well.
"I-it hurts s-so bad," Taehyung cries and Seokjin shushes him once more, afraid of attracting attention. They were almost out of ammo and are in no condition to run into one of those things again.
