14. What is this feeling ?

''Don't you have manners to knock when entering someone's house ?'' Spencer smirked.

Hannah is shocked and panicked to see Stephen standing there.

''I--- Im sorry....I saw the door was open so I entered.....
I should leave now......'' Spencer clenched his fists as he sprinted out with Hannah following after him.

''Sir..... Actually----
Did you have something to tell me, you came all the way over to meet me----- it----'' Hannah fumbled with her words.
''No. Nothing important.... I was just passing by.......'' He said avoiding her gaze.
''Actually sir, Spencer---- he---''
''You're not answerable to me Hannah.

About anything. It's your life. See you at work.'' He said leaving Hannah dumb founded.

''Did you leave the main door open ? What happened to your face ? You looked like you could eat me alive a moment ago.'' Spencer rambled but Hannah ignored him as she silently walked upstairs.

Sorry Hannah, I had to leave the door ajar. Otherwise my plan could get ruined. I think I'll really need to speed up according to Byeong Im. My big bro seems to be in a hurry to get the trophy.

At the rooftop,

''How can I do that ? I remember I closed the door. What must Chairman Stephen be thinking of me ?
A liar, probably a really bad person. But why am I concerned about him ? He's just my boss. He doesn't need to know everything that's going on in my life.
Plus this situation is a bit unexplainable itself. Even if I told him, I don't think he would believe me. And he would unnecessarily be dragged into this mess because of me. Why isn't life easy for me ?'' She said frustrated closing her eyes shut listening to the breeze to calm her mind but peace didnt seem to follow her as her phone started ringing.

She looked at the screen flashing her mom's name. Pushing all the negative feelings away she tried to put a smile on her face as she received the call.

''Hello, mom !'' She voiced 'Cheerfully'.
''How are you my child ?''
''I'm fine !''
''Are you really ? You don't sound like you are.''
''Aniyo ! Jinjja, jeon gwaenchanh-ayo !* How are you and how's my stupid bro ?''

*Jinjja, jeon gwaenchanh-ayo ! : No, Im totally fine !*

''We're fine.''
''Mom, actually I wanted to ask you something.''
''Yes ?''
''Mom, is there a will that dad left for me ? Actually uncle Min Jae called today and I got to know.''
''Oh, yes. Your father did leave a will for you. Don't misunderstand me Hannah, I wanted to hand it over to you as soon as possible but I didn't think it was the right time.'' Her mom spoke in a worried tone.

''No mom, I don't. I know you must have had your reasons. Where is it now ? Do you have it ?''
''The will always belonged to you Hannah. How could I take it with me ?
Its in my wardrobe's locker in your house.''
''It was with me all along ?''
''Yes. Go and open it.''

Hannah rushes off to her room and opens her mom's wardrobe locker and finds the will. She opens it quickly and starts reading.

The letter read :

Hannah, My dear daughter.

If you're reading this letter that means i'm no longer beside you. I'm sorry if I left too early, i'm sorry if I wasn't a good father, forgive me Hannah. I couldn't do much for you while I was alive but there is a last thing I wanted to tell you, take this as my last wish. You're my obedient daughter, you always did what I asked you to. So will you listen to me this time too ? I'll tell you a story like I used to when you were a kid.
'Once upon a time, there was a girl named Hannah. She was very beautiful, stubborn, and kind. But apart from good qualities she possessed great powers which she wasn't aware of. One day she met an angel who was in trouble. Kind Hannah helped the angel and the angel rewarded her well.'
But this is not the end of the story Hannah, you need to write the rest of the story yourself. You've always been special since you were a kid but little do you know that you are so much more than you know yourself to be.
When time comes an angel will come to you Hannah, dont be scared. Listen to him, whatever he says, in the end when you've helped him you'll get my last gift to you.
That person is your guardian angel Hannah. When the mission ends you'll get what I wanted to give you. Use that gift to lead a happy life Hannah. This is my last wish. Be happy, forget bad times. And stop tearing up, you're getting the letter wet. It isn't your fault Hannah, whatever happened it wasn't because of you. Now give me a wide smile. GOODBYE my daughter .

Hannah clenched the letter tight to her chest, crying continuously.

No dad. You are the best father in the world.

She wiped her tears changing her expression into a stern one.

You've done a lot for me already dad. But I won't stop now. I'll fullfill your last wish. I'll get what you left for me. If that's what you want me to do I'll do it.

Hannah rushes downstairs.

''What happened ?'' Spencer asked standing up as he looked at Hannah.
''Did you just cry ?'' He said noticing her red checks and nose.
''I'll do it. I'll help you in your mission.''

Meanwhile, Stephen was standing at a barren place completely opposite to the state of his mind and heart. He was troubled with feelings he didnt understand.

What is this feeling ? Why did I feel so weird when I saw Hannah and Seokga together ? Why do I feel so bad, as if.....
No, Hannah is just a descendant. She's a human. It's her life, she can do whatever she wants to.
But what is this uneasy feeling ? Do I feel bad because Seokga is toying with her feelings or is it something else ?

''Here you are ! Haemosu I've been searching you everywhere.'' Damein said walking towards his friend.
''What happened ?'' Stephen asked staring in nothingness.
''Halmang told me you want to tell the descendant everything.''

''Do you disagree ?'' Stephen asked looking Damein in the eye.
''I don't. I think it's time we tell her about it. Things might get dangerous for her afterwards.''
''We need to do something quick.'' Stephen said turning around as he gathered his thoughts.

''What do you mean ?''
''Seokga is staying with Hannah.''
''What ? Since how long ?''
''I think since the day he stepped on earth.''
''He did fool us all along. What do you think on doing next ?''
''Play along.''
''What do you mean ?''
''He fooled us all along, so let's do the same to him.''
''Are you saying we do nothing and follow him ?''
''Yes. We'll just follow his lead and he'll take us to the Eternal fire.''

Meanwhile,

''I'll help you in your mission.'' Hannah said confidently.
''What happened to you suddenly ? Did someone bewitch your mind or something ?'' Spencer said laughing as Hannah angrily stared at him.

''I get it. You're in no mood for jokes. But why the sudden mind change ?''
''That's not your business. I'll help you but---''
''Yeah I know. You want something in return. Good, atleast i'm not partners with someone stupid. You know the deal.''

''Tell me what your mission is ?'' Hannah asked taking a seat on the couch while Spencer stood in front of her.
''Well, i'm here to complete three tasks so that I can be crowned the king of our realm.
My first task is to find the Eternal fire. The rest of the tasks, i'll tell you when we're done with the first one.''
''Why are you after me ?'' Hannah asked squinting her eyes.
''I already told you----''
''You know better that it's not true.'' She said folding her arms to her chest.
''Fine. You're a descendant and meant to serve me, Gods. That is why darling, i'm not after you.''
''I get everything now.'' Hannah said connecting the dots.

''Ohh what's with the atmosphere here ?'' Rebecca said entering the house.
''Actually---''
''Nothing much. You should freshen up. I'll get dinner served.'' Hannah interrupted Spencer.
''Sure.'' Rebecca nodded walking upstairs.

''Dare you include Rebecca in this !'' Hannah whisper-warned Spencer as he held his hands up in the air.
''Got it.'' Spencer nods as Hannah walks away.
