Chapter 7

*monday*

Katie's POV

I woke to the sound of my alarm, I slid myself out of bed and checked the time. 6:30 am. I went into the bathroom, had a quick shower and freshened up.

when I was done I changed into denim shorts, a plain white Hollister top, my yellow converse and Ross' hoodie.  then grabbed my bag and walked downstairs to where my mum was sat at the table with a cup of coffee in her hand

"morning sweetheart" she said sipping her drink.

"morning" I said pouring some Lucky charms and milk into a bowl and sitting at the table

"I see you're still wearing that boys hoodie?" she asked

"mmmm hmmmm" I swallowed my food " and his name is Ross mum, not 'that boy'"

"ok then!" she said getting up from the table "would you like me to pick you up from school later on my way back from the store?"

"errr no thanks I'll just get the bus!" I answered, putting my empty bowl in the sink

"alright but call me if you change your mind" she said

"ok I will" I said running upstairs.

I quickly brushed my teeth, did my hair and applied a little bit of make-up. when I was finished I ran back downstairs and grabbed my bag of the table

"BYE MUM" I shouted as I walked out the door and down to the bus stop.

when I got to the bus stop the bus had just arrived. perfect timing. I climbed onto the bus and took a seat about halfway down the bus and put my headphones in, blocking out the world around me.

*15 minutes later*

as I felt the bus come to a stop, I took out my headphones and put them away in my bag. Everyone pilled off the bus and walked into school.

I walked over to my locker and Rosie was already stood at hers.

"heeeey" I said opening my locker

"hiya" she said pulling me into a hug. "it feels like I haven't seen you in ages!"

"Rosie it's been two days" I said giggling and she released me from the hug

"I know but we haven't had a chance to talk! you haven't told me about 'the date'" she said wiggling her eyebrows at the last part.

"you were there! you witnesses the whole thing!" I said taking the books I needed for today and putting them in my bag and shut my locker

"yeah I know, but what happened when you were walking home?" she asked shutting her locker just as the bell went and we started walking to maths

"we talked, and walked...and..." I said smiling

"oh COME ON! you can't leave me hanging! you have to tell me!" she shouted, making a few people look at us funny

"...AND... he gave me his jumper, which is this jumper I am currently wearing" I said gesturing down at my jumper

"OMG KATIE! that's like the sweetest thing EVER!" she screamed jumping up and down making me laugh

"haha I know! my mum even says he's a keeper!" I said smiling at the memory "anyway what went on with you and Riker?"

 "oh you know... nothing..." she said grinning

"seriously?! you're not gonna tell me?!" I asked
