I quickly scrambled up onto my feet and looked around to see if i could see where my get shaved had landed. i was rapidly spinning my head in every direction when Rosie spun me in the direction of two tall, blond boys, one slightly taller than the other. For a second i didnt know why she had turned me to them, then i realised that the shorter one of the boys had multi-coloured ice dripping off his hair and t-shirt, and was looking really angry.
"c'mon Katie, if we go now they wont know it was us!" Rosie whispered to me
"No way! i feel really bad! and it doesnt help that his white top is now probrably stained, all because of my stupid dancing!" i wisper-shouted to her
"But Katie! he looks really Angry and...." she looked behind me. "oh god Katie they are coming over!" I quickly spun my head around to see both of the boys walking towards us
"what do we do?!" i asked Rosie
"i don't know! urmm...just say sorry and hope he doesnt hit us!" she quickly said as the two boys got to us.
"I am so so so so so sooooo sorry for ACCIDENTLY sort of throwing my shaved ice at you, i was dancing and i tripped and i fell...." i started
"Its ok" said shorter one of the boys
"..and it just flew out of my hands and....wait what?" i blurted out
"i said its ok! i mean its just a little bit of ice!" he said, "and anyway.." he took some of the ice off his top and tasted i t "its my favourite, let them eat cake, right?" i nodded i couldnt believe he had forgiven me that fast. "im Ross by the way, and this is my brother Riker" Riker smiled at us and started talking to Rosie.
My phone buzzed in my pocket:
1 new message from: mum -
'where are you? are you ok? come home soon, Rosie can sleep over if you want? xx
I checked the message and replied:
in reply to: mum-
im fine! just went to get shaved and got in a bit of trouble, will tell you when i get home. and ill ask Rosie! xx
I locked my phone and put it back in my pocket.
"hey Rosie my mum said i need to get home, we should probably get going?!" i whispered to Rosie
"ok" rosie replied.
"it was great meeting you, but we have to go, im SO sorry about your t-shirt....oh and my names Katie by the way and this is Rosie...well see you round then." i said to Ross and Riker and me and Rosie started walking away
"wait, can i ..urm.. have your phone number like incase i ..urm..need to contact you, you know..about ..urm.. stuff" said ross putting his hand behind his neck awkwardly.
"urmm sure" i said back and we handed each other our phones, i added my number and put my name as: katie *the girl who threw get shaved on you* and handed his phone back and he gave me mine back.
" well bye.." i said as me and Rosie walked off. as we walked i looked through my contacts and found Ross. I laughed to myself. he had put his name as Ross *the boy you covered in 'let them eat cake'*
"hey Rosie, do you wanna come back to mine for a sleepover?" i asked Rosie
"yeah sure! ill be round at like 6, gotta get my stuff" she said
"ok see you at 6" and she ran off in the other direction towards her house.
i continued to walk home, smiling the whole way.
