Chapter 12:

They're back in the present btw just to remind you

"Angel?" My eyes open and I see Michael with tear stained eyes opening the door. His eyes widen and he runs to me, taking me in his arms. I sigh and melt into his body, missing my brother.

I don't know how long I've been gone for, but it felt like forever. While I was kinda happy that I was able to spend a few moments with Luke again, Michael must've been worried sick for me. Not knowing where I went or if I was even alive.

"You scared me," he whispered at the top of my head and let me go, tears were falling down his cheeks "did that dipshit hurt you?"

"No" I said and turn to my bed and see that Harry or 'that dipshit' according to Michael is no longer on my bed like he was when I fell asleep.

"You're not allowed to see that man anymore you hear me?" He asks, more like demands.

"What?!" I exclaim and retract from him "no! I still need answers and he's the only one wh-"

"And have you disappearing again?! To risk your life in the hands of this demon? This- stranger who we don't even know a single thing of?" Michael said "no, Angel, and that's final"

"But-"

"No buts." Michael said standing up "I will have Calum give an extra eye on you at school"

Michael stood up and I was just about ready to cry. Not out of sadness but out of aggravation.

Harry is my only source of answers left and now that Michael is taking it away, its gives me a slimmer chance to find out who I really am, and I don't want that.

Michael peeks at the door and sighs "I'm glad you're back alive, by the way." He said before closing the door.

I bury my head in my hands.

I was walking beside Calum as we reach the entrance of the school. Apparently I've been gone for five days. At school, Calum would say I visited my family back at Daggerhorn and well, the teachers bought it I guess.

"Michael told me to keep an eye on you," Calum said "like an extra extra keep an eye on you."

"I know," I said

"Look I know you want answers but please don't reach the point wherein you'd risk your life to get them." Calum said, holding my hand and squeezing it gently.

I smile up at Calum and enter the school premises. I was surprised when somebody bumped into Calum which made Calum bump into me.

"Oh, sorry." She said sheepishly and picks her books up "I'm really sorry I'm just so lost."

"It's okay," I said once I got Calum up "are you new?"

"Yeah," she said and blushes "I'm really sorry about that but can you please direct me to English. I don't understand these instructions." She holds the school map up.

"Yeah sure that's my next class." I said and Calum just eyes me and her back and forth as we talk.

She sighed in relief "oh thank god. I've been running around like a chicken without a head for the past half hour you're a lifesaver."

"That's fine," I giggled "what's your name?"

"I'm Lian," she smiled.

"I'm Angel, come on let's go." I said looping my arm around hers in a friendly gesture. We start to walk and I look over my shoulder to Calum. He had a slight pink tinge on his cheeks but he looked at me and motioned to his ear, saying that I should listen to my ear piece. I only nod at him.
