Jim woke up feeling that sharp pain surging from his neck down his back, though this time he knew what caused it. He had another dream-like flashback, but this time it was different. He recognized Leehoimen, he was the one who had his ancestor beheaded. Jim was still in the basement of the Onceblood household, but he was laying on a bunch of fancy cushions and pillows with a damp cloth over his forehead. His husband, Grim, was there watching over him.
"What happened?" Jim felt like he had to ask, last thing he remembered before passing out as he was struggling to breathe suddenly when trying to leave.
"You spontaneously died somehow. I can't even determine the cause, but you're alive again so it doesn't matter anyways." Grim answered as Jim heard Calhoun add "I thought he died from old age suddenly."
"Age is the one thing that can't kill him." Grim told Calhoun as Jim took the damp cloth off and sat up, his head started to hurt as soon as he did that.
"How are you feeling now?" Grim asked Jim as the pain was starting to go away on its own. Jim replied with "Terrible, but I need to go back."
Jim then stood up and said "Thank you for everything, but I have to go."
"You're going back to Leehoimen?" Grim asked as Calhoun said "Don't die again."
"I have to confront him." Jim answered as he then remembered he left Turg alone with him. He no longer trusted Leehoimen and hoped that Turg fled at the first sign of danger coming from him.
"Again, thank you and bye for now." Jim then said as he then quickly left. Once he was outside he got a running head-start before summoning his magic broomstick to fly his way back to the palace. Once he arrived he kicked open the door and shouted as he entered "LEEHOIMEN!"
His voice echoed through the palace as a bat started flying toward him that turned into Leehoimen.
"I have been summoned." Leehoimen said as Jim glared at him. Leehoimen then asked "Why are you so mad?"
Jim pointed at him and angrily exclaimed "It was YOU who killed my ancestor!"
Leehoimen started laughing nervously before saying "Uh, no I didn't."
Jim approached Leehoimen and grabbed him by the arms while telling him "Don't lie to me, I saw what happened to him through his eyes."
"How?" Leehoimen asked Jim, who replied with "I had another one of those dream-like visions, except this time I got more context."
"It was Calhoun doing that to you, wasn't it?" Leehoimen asked Jim again.
"No, she only told her her side of the story. I died and relived his final moments." Jim told Leehoimen as he let go of him.
"You didn't kill her, I can tell." Was the only thing Leehoimen said about that. He then added "I'm disappointed, I thought you would be the one to finally end that family's bloodline, or- y'know what I mean."
"You lied to me about everything." Jim said rather boldly to Leehoimen as he confessed "Fine, I lied to you. But I swear, that man deserved it. If it makes you feel better, that was the only part of my plan that worked."
Jim wasn't going to forgive him yet, not until he knew that Turg was fine too. He then asked him "Where's Turg?"
"Oh him, yeah I borrowed him for something and uh..." Leehoimen began explaining as he started looking away from Jim. Jim grabbed him again and shouted "WHAT DID YOU DO TO HIM?!"
"Relax, I just used his blood to lift a family curse, which would probably explain why you died." Leehoimen answered as Jim then pushed him up against a pillar and pinned him to it.
"Is he alive?" Jim aggressively asked Leehoimen. Leehoimen replied "I think, he passed out and his heart was beating very slowly."
Jim knew what that meant, he remembered it happening when the eclipse happened and was caused by extreme sensory overload.
"Bring me to him. Now." Jim demanded as Leehoimen told him "Okay okay I will, just let me go first."
Jim ended up following Leehoimen into a secret passage, the same one his ancestor went down before his demise, but if Leehoimen tried anything he was prepared. Jim had an advantage that his ancestors didn't, and that was his ability to do magic. He eventually ended up in a room that was lit by candles and Turg was laying on the floor next to Janice. Janice was wearing something different from the last time Jim saw her, she was wearing a white dress with a dark grey corset over it. There was a little bit of blood around Turg as Jim got closer and his heart sank as Turg became cold to the touch.
"I think he may be dead. Whoops." Leehoimen said as Jim listened for a heartbeat, there was still one, Turg was not dead.
"Turgs are incredibly rare, Lee, you know that." Janice said as Jim added his own input "He's alive."
"Yes, but also incredibly valuable." Leehoimen responded to what Janice said. Jim decided he might as well attempt to revive Turg, he remembered how from when Turg's father showed him. As Jim readied that power he had, Janice asked Leehoimen "What were you even doing to him?"
"Using him to lift a curse, which Jim doesn't seem to appreciate. Now if he dies he can go to the afterlife." Leehoimen answered as Jim's hands started glowing. Before he could put them down on Turg to attempt to wake him, Leehoimen grabbed Jim and lifted him back up to be at his eye level.
"Which may happen soon if he doesn't agree to keep his mouth shut." Leehoimen rather aggressively told Jim as he was glaring at him with his bright teal eyes. Jim pushed Leehoimen away and tried to go back to reviving Turg, but Leehoimen grabbed him again and asked "You won't tell anyone, right?"
"No promises." Jim answered honestly before then saying "Now hands off me."
Leehoimen tightened his grip on Jim as he told him "Then I cannot allow you to leave alive."
Leehoimen then summoned his staff and tried to hit Jim with it. Jim managed to duck away in time as he grabbed Leehoimen and tried to burn him. Leehoimen kicked Jim away before he could burn him while Janice shielded Turg just in case.
"It's a real shame, Jim. I actually liked you, but all good things must come to an end." Leehoimen said as he took another swing at him with his staff, striking Jim just below his shoulder. While Jim took a moment to recover from that, Leehoimen struck him again but on his head as Janice shouted "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"
Jim was still conscious, but his vision became very blurry and he could barely stand anymore. He still tried to fight back, he readied a flame spell to cast at Leehoimen, but he couldn't cast it in time. Leehoimen struck him again on the head and Jim was knocked out again.
