"I am so sorry Turg, I didn't mean to do what I did." Jim was telling Turg, or himself. Was he Turg now? Or was he a fusion of the two? If so, he'd be Jurg, or Tim, but that's the name of Jim's first-born child. So Jurg it is.
Jurg paced around the portal room in Turg's family's home in the magic realm trying to get some kind of response out of Turg, he didn't know how to get out of him. Eventually he heard Turg's voice in his head tell him "Get Jasper. He could help."
"Good idea." Jurg responded as he started making his way out of the portal room, which was in their basement. Jasper was Turg's father, Jim was always slightly intimidated by him as he was much taller than Jim by a lot. As he made his way up, he started realizing something, though thinking was a dangerous game as Turg may be able to read his thoughts now. Once he was up on the main floors in the big open living room, Jurg started shouting "JASPER!"
Jasper immediately appeared and asked "You called?"
Jasper was the average height for a turg, which was at least two feet taller than Jim and Turg, and had light grey hair that was braided. He had two dot halos above his head that overlapped with each other, a much longer beard than Turg's, slightly tanned skin and was fairly muscular. He wore a light brown trench coat, very dark grey pants and a black shirt with a red scarf. He also had an amulet similar to Turg's, but a different phase of an eclipse.
"We have a problem." Jurg answered as he put his hands together. Jasper raised one eyebrow slightly and said "You're talking weird."
"That's- uh... That's because I, Jim, am trapped inside your son." Jurg told Jasper, who only became more confused and concerned. He then asked "How'd you manage that?"
"It's a very long story but I need help getting out of him." Jurg responded. Jasper thought about it for a moment before saying "This is the weirdest thing you've come to me for help with. And that's saying a lot."
"Are you going to help?" Jurg asked Jasper again. Jasper replied "I will try, but I've never dealt with someone fusing into another."
"This better not be permanent." Jurg said as Jasper started wandering off, expecting Jurg to follow. Jasper replied "I hope not, but come with me."
Jurg followed Jasper to wherever he was taking Jurg. They ended up in a huge library that also stored potions in one section. The library had four floors with massive shelves full of books all connected by a spiral staircase. There were other turgs in the library too who all looked at them as they entered briefly before going back to what they were doing. Jasper went up to one of them and started speaking a different language neither Jim or Turg recognized. They had a short conversation before they went to go look for something. While Jurg was looking around, Jasper quietly asked "Have you been in here before?"
"No, I haven't. But is everyone here related to you?" Jurg quietly asked back. Jasper answered quietly "Some are, some aren't."
Eventually the turg Jasper was talking to returned with a book and Jasper took it while telling them something in their language. Jasper then started heading out of the library, Jurg quickly following. He led Jurg into a more private room and said "Okay, this should probably give us some insight."
Jasper sat down on the floor and started reading it, Jurg joining him. The pages were just incomprehensible scribbles to Jurg but Jasper seemed to be able to read it.
"Is this your language?" Jurg asked Jasper. He answered with "Yes, this is turgspeak, and this book is about possession. Specifically demonic."
"I don't think I'm a demon. I died and didn't go to hell." Jurg said as Jasper paused to look at him.
"Oh right, I died and someone stole my body so I can't come back to life." Jurg quickly explained the context to Jasper, who only told him "You keep getting yourself into the strangest situations, Jim."
"It's what makes my life interesting." Jurg responded before then saying "Let's just get to figuring out how to un-possess your son."
"Yeah, about that, this doesn't seem to contain how to do that. At least based off of the table of contents." Jasper mentioned as he opened a specific chapter while adding "But maybe this one might contain something."
"Could also wait for Grim to return, they might know." Jurg suggested. Jasper responded "Maybe so, but I said I would help."
Jurg then laid down on the floor, it was a nice carpet that he thought felt nice. As he laid there he started to realize that his body wasn't aching at all, either because Turg didn't experience much physical pain or he just couldn't feel much while possessing someone. After a few minutes Jasper finally said "It says here a ghost will stop being the host if they choose to or if the being they're possessing dies, but nothing about how to stop possessing someone. Guess they assume ghosts know how to do that."
"Then I am one stupid ghost." Was Jurg's only response to that. Jasper closed the book while asking "Have you tried hard enough?"
Jurg sat up and tried thinking about un-possessing Turg really hard, but nothing happened. Jurg then said "Tried again, nothing happened."
"Well, guess you're stuck inside your fiancé until we can figure out what's going on." Jasper responded as Jurg could hear Turg say in his thoughts "Turg would prefer sooner."
"Are you doing okay wherever you are?" Jurg tried to ask Turg as Jasper looked at him again.
"No. Turg not sure he like this. Turg feel weird." Turg responded. Jurg then asked again "Is there anything I could do to make it more tolerable for now?"
There was no response from Turg. Jurg asked again "You still there?"
"Turg don't know." Turg finally responded as Jasper also asked "You talking to him?"
Jurg gave him a quick nod in response as Jasper stood up again while telling him "Well, you two stay here. I'll be back."
Jasper then left Jurg alone in that room, which was entirely empty. Shortly after Jasper left, Grim appeared again and immediately asked Jurg "Where's Jim?"
"You're looking at him." Jurg answered. Grim knelt down and stared at him for a few seconds before then asking "What did you do now?"
"I don't know, all I did was try to get Turg to move and suddenly I became Turg." Jurg explained to Grim, who responded with "And he's okay with this?"
"The problem is I can't seem to get out of him." Jurg answered again. Grim held out their hand and told Jurg "I'll help you."
Jurg took Grim's hand as they suddenly pulled on it, removing Jim from Turg. While still holding onto his hand, somehow, Grim told Jim "Now isn't the time to be exploring each other's bodies."
"Now also isn't the time to be saying shit like that." Jim responded as Turg was sitting with his hands on his head while saying "Turg head hurt."
"Yeah, that happens. You'll be fine." Grim told Turg as Jim said "It's likely because Leehoimen hit him in the head with that staff."
Jim then added "Speaking of which, I thought I broke it. Must've fixed it or had another."
"From what I've observed, it's like my scythe but can do more than just harvest crops and bodies." Grim explained as Turg said "It hurt. Turg don't like."
"What about Janice though, is she dead still?" Jim asked Grim, who replied with "She died?"
"Gonna take that as a 'yes'. We'll deal with that when I'm alive again." Jim then said as Jasper returned. He stopped in the doorway and said "Looks like you didn't need me."
"Oh trust me we do." Jim responded to what Jasper said as he then asked "What happened to your head?"
"It fell off." Jim replied as Jasper then went over to Turg to check on him. Jasper asked Turg "And are you okay?"
Turg took his hands off his head and sat up straight while replying with "Turg be okay."
"So, what is going on with you three now?" Jasper asked as everyone looked at Jim, waiting for him to explain everything.
"Okay, I'll try to explain this the best I can." Jim said before he started explaining "So, I received an inheritance letter from a relative I didn't know existed until then. Me and Turg decided to check it out, but the house was haunted. We meet this relative who faked his death, who's name is Leehoimen, and claimed that I was the king of that town."
Jim paused for a moment before continuing "He then locks me in a dungeon because I had the audacity to question his intentions, but I escaped through some sort of underground river that ran through an abandoned mine. Few months later he comes back and kills me."
"He also burned our home down." Grim added.
"Next thing I knew I was in the afterlife with one of my children and Grim, who tells me that Leehoimen stole my body. We tried to get it back but it didn't work, which is why we are now here." Jim finished explaining. Jasper was silent for a few moments before saying "I'm not sure if this is worse than the time you summoned demon children."
"In my defence, I didn't realize they were demons." Jim responded.
"How are we going to get out of this one?" Jasper asked Jim, who did have an idea. Jim replied with "I do have an idea, but I'm not sure if Turg will like it though."
"Let me guess, more violence?" Jasper asked. Jim smiled and replied "Yes, it is necessary in this case because my family are violent people."
"Fair enough. What are you wanting to do?" Jasper asked Jim again. Jim answered with "Alright, this may sound crazy but just hear me out."
