Part 17

"Hey Ju, I need some advice." Jimin flops down on Min Ju's bed while the woman sits at her desk.

Min Ju turns around and looks at him, a sigh leaving her lips as she rests her head on the palm of her hand, "What's up?"

"If you were dating someone and he was good for you, like really, good, but you didn't love him. If anything, you were becoming bored of him. But he was just so sweet, like the sweetest person you've ever fucking met. And maybe there was another person, one that is literally the exact opposite. But he excites you; he makes you feel things you've never felt before. What would you do?" Jimin looks up at the ceiling as he thinks of Yoongi.

It had been a couple of weeks since the older man had shown up in his bedroom, and they had seen each other a few times since but only in passing. Every time they saw each other, though, it felt like Jimin's skin was on fire, and he couldn't breathe. It was all so much. He felt like his whole world lay in Yoongi's hands. The older man just made his mind go foggy, and he couldn't fucking think straight!

Min Ju sighs, "This is about Cole and Yoongi, isn't it?"

Jimin nods but doesn't look at her.

She stands and walks over to her bed. Min ju lays beside Jimin and looks up at the ceiling with him, "It's hard. I get it. But think about your future. Which man do you see yourself settling down with? Which do you really see being there for you? Starting a family with you? I know you have a soft spot for Yoongi. He was your first love. That will never go away. But do you really think he'll give you the life you deserve?"

Jimin frowns as he sighs, "But what if I don't want to settle down?"

"I know you think that Jimin, but you can't live a fast-paced life forever. The past few years have been great for you. You should be striving for peacefulness, not a drug dealing fighter who just got out of prison." Min Ju sits up and looks back down at him, "Just make the right decision, Minnie."

"'You coming back tonight, or are you going to stay home?" Cole was lying in bed as Jimin got dressed and ready for work.

Jimin started tying his tie as he answered, "Yeah, I'll come back here! But I have parent-teacher conferences after school, so I'll probably be a bit late. I think they end at seven or something like that."

Cole nodded. "Ok, I'll have dinner ready when you get back."

Jimin smiled at his boyfriend, "You're the best."

He smiled back. "I love you."

Jimin swallowed his guilt, "I love you too. I -uh- I gotta get going."

Cole furrows his eyebrows, "What? School doesn't start for another hour. What about breakfast?"

Jimin turns and grabs his shoes before lying, "Uh, gotta get everything set up for the parents. Also, the um, the principal, wanted to talk about something, so I should just get going."

Cole gets up from the bed and walks over to Jimin. He pulls him in and smiles, "I love you. You're gonna kill it." He tries to kiss Jimin on the lips, but the younger man turns his head ever so slightly, causing him to kiss Jimin's cheek.

Jimin pulls away and grabs his bookbag, "Yeah, you too. Bye!" He practically runs out of the door and to his car.

It was rounding seven o'clock, and Jimin was still waiting on the guardian of the last kid, Ava. The little girl had been there since school ended, five hours ago. When Jimin asked if someone was picking her up after school, she told him that they were going to pick her up after the conference.
