Fairy Tail Gratsu "Everyone loves Natsu" (Finished!)

Chapter 8

They went to the guild together, without Natsu of course. When they finally arrived, Cana just stormed frustrated out of the hall.  "Cana! What's going on?", Levy asked sensitively. "They just won't stop!" "What about?" "They've all been talking non-stop about Natsu for days now and how much they would miss him! I can't hear it anymore!" "Well now? Cana, aren't you in love with Natsu?", Freed asked, baffled. "What?? Natsu?! You're crazy!" "I don't think she drank any of the water and therefore has no feelings for him", the blue-haired wizard determined, pointing to the beer mug in Cana's hand, the others nodded to show that they understood. "Don't worry Cana, we finally have a solution. Tomorrow it'll all be over!", Levy explained to the others with a grin and went into the guild. There Freed immediately started using his runes and was soon through with all members of Fairy Tail.

As expected the next morning everyone were rid of those feelings. All but one...

"Freed? Could you please remove these feelings from me again? It somehow didn't work out the first time." "That's right, I remember. Don't worry we'll have sorted that out right away." Once again Freed drew those runes around Gray, taking extra care to not make any mistakes. But the next day the ice magician still felt more than just friendship for his comrade and those feelings drove him crazy. At least he was in control of his actions and words.

Since Freed couldn't help him he asked Levy about it again but she couldn't help either.  Because of this he did what anyone in his situation would have done. (Don't do it!!!) He avoided Natsu as much as he could, hoping this would sort itself out! For example, he timed his missions so that he was out when the Dragonslayer would have finished missions so they wouldn't meet in the guild. He did that for two weeks, although it hurt inside him to suppress the desire to be close to Natsu. Or the desire to kiss him, like that one time in the hut. It had felt so right and he could have sworn that Natsu had kissed back for a moment. But Gray firmly believed that these feelings were not real and were caused by some kind of magic. It was the same with the others! So why should it be any different with him?

He would have preferred to keep avoiding Natsu, but a certain red-haired magician had other plans. One look from Erza was enough to convince Gray to take a job with the whole group. He couldn't have known that Erza had approached him because of a request from Natsu. Because while Gray was in the process of denying his feelings, Natsu had only just discovered his. It hurt the Salamander a lot that Gray was avoiding him and somehow he missed not only the time they were good friends but also the short time Gray had fallen for him and given him tons of affection. Even though he knew it was only because of Levy's potion. Natsu had made up his mind that if Gray didn't love him now, he would make the ice mage fall in love with him! Erza, Lucy and Happy were already inaugurated and ready to actively support their friend!

The five of them got on the train and to Gray's amazement Natsu didn't get travel sick at all! This was because Natsu knew how ridiculous Gray found it when he got sick while traveling so he asked Wendy to help him out.

The two boys sat next to each other on the train and didn't spoke a word, making it easy to overhear the conversation between Lucy, Erza and Happy who were sitting two rows behind them. "Don't you think they would be a cute couple Erza?", Lucy asked curiously. She still couldn't believe that Natsu was in love with Gray! "Yeah, although I always thought Natsu would like you", Erza admitted as an answer. "Aye! I was thinking the same thing!  When he told us who he was really in love with, I was pretty surprised!", Happy joined the conversation making Gray all the more curious. Who could the big Salamander have fallen in love with? Gray was dying to know, but wished just as badly to not wanting to know this kind of thing.

Meanwhile Natsu had fallen asleep and hadn't heard anything about the conversation. What else should he have been doing besides sleeping? Any attempt by him to start a conversation was blocked and the drive would be very long. So sleeping really was the best option. However, Natsu didn't notice when the train made a sharp turn and his head fell on Gray's shoulder. But that didn't bother Gray very much. It was actually the opposite! He rested his head on his neighbor's head and fell asleep as well. He slept better than he had in a long time though.

When the group reached their destination, Lucy woke up Gray first and then Natsu.

They made their way to a huge house. The Ice Wizard still had absolutely no idea what this job was all about but that was about to change! When entering the building he had to realize that this was not the property of some rich snot at all but a luxury hotel!

"What exactly is this supposed to be for a job now?", the ice magician wanted to know and looked around the reception. "That is no longer important for you! On the way, while you were both sleeping, we received a message from our client that he doesn't want this job to be done by men. So you, Natsu and Happy are staying here at the hotel until Erza and I get back. We'll meet here in the lobby on Sunday evening!", Lucy explained and handed Gray a key. "Here's your room key! After we told the client that we had men with us, he provided us with a room here! Have fun, this is a unique opportunity!", the blonde commanded, grabbing Erzas arm to storm out of the hotel. In fact, this wasn't planned by either of them, it was just a lucky coincidence they knew how to take advantage of.
