Through the forest we went.

-So where exactly are we going? -asked Nat.

-Yeah, where can we find the demon king? -Emma added.

-Well, -I said- We should start with that portal to the human world where we were years ago. I mean, he won't be there, but we might find some clues.

-Well, how about we rest for a bit first? -Emma asked. -We did just escape the new farms. Let's eat something and restore our energy.

Hm, good idea actually.

I sat next to Ray and we all started eating. After a year of that poorly cooked food on the farms, the meals we prepared seemed even more delicious than usual. My sibs were eating like crazy.

-Look at the mess you're making, Emo Boy. -I laughed as I wiped some food of Ray's cheek.

-I'm just hungry after all this time, okay? -he muttered. -You should eat more, too.

-Okay! -I said and took a bite out of the sandwich Ray was holding.

-Hey! -he yelled and moved away, protecting the rest of his sandwich.

While the others laughed at the situation, I looked at the map. In one or two hours, we should arrive at the spot the portal can be found.

-Okay, guys! -I said after everyone was done eating. -Time to get moving! Remember to stay hydrated and stick together!

-Ah, wait... Where's Don? -Norman pointed out.

-Well... -Gilda explained. -He said he had to pee, but he still hasn't came back.

Classic Don. He better be done with peeing before we find him, thou.

-Alright, let's split up. -I said. -Emma, you and Norman stay here with the younger kids and I'll look for Don with the others.

We should find him quickly. It's not a very good idea to be all alone in a demon forest.

-Rhea, look! -Gilda yelled. -I found Conny's drawing. Don always carries it around with him, ever since we escaped Grace Field for the first time.

-You know him well, huh~? -I teased.

Gilda blushed, much to my amusement.

-Anyway, Don must have been here a moment ago. Not only we found the drawing, but there are also footprints.

-Oh, you're right. Maybe Don didn't wipe them because he wanted us to know where he went. -said Gilda.

-Yeah, either that or he was in a hurry. As if something was chasing him. -I said casually.

-Rhea! Don't say that! -Gilda and some others scolded me.

-I'm just thinking, guys. -I chuckled. -Don't worry, we'll find him.

And we did. A moment later, in fact.

-You guys! -he panted as he rushed towards us, a small wound on his shoulder.

-Don! What happened! -Gilda rushed to his side.

-I'll explain later! We have to run now!

Just as I thought, he encountered something he shouldn't while he was alone. I could already hear about three wild demons getting closer to us.

-Damn it! What do we do!? -Ray screamed.

-We fight them, that's what. -I smirked.

-Not this again! Just run! -Anna begged.
