Oh, there they are. Coming back from the gate. Norman slowly opened the door with a horrified look on his face. Emma was right behind him with terror in her eyes.
-Welcome back. How was it? -I asked.
-...We didn't make it. -Norman's voice was shaking.
Well, no wonder. Wait a minute... Where's Conny's doll? Are you serious, Emma, Norman? Do you WANT to be killed?

I facepalm as the two go upstairs. Great. Way to expose yourself, you two... Nah, whatever. Mama would find out anyway, I guess. Now, let's go back to bed before she comes back as well.

Aah, another morning. It's painful to get up from my plush bed. Especially since Emma didn't yell or anything. She just stands there, getting ready. Come on, Redhead. You're already being suspicious. Maybe I should let her now that's she's obvious?

-What's wrong, Redhead?
-Huh...? It's nothing...
I smirk. I know she's scared, but I still want to tease her...
-You're acting weird. I can get Mama if you want...
-No! -she panicked. -I mean... I'm fine! And Mama is probably busy! So... Don't! Anyway, see ya!
She rushed out of the room. I tried my best to hold my laugh in. Such bad acting!
Norman was doing it wrong, too. He was smiling, yeah, but his hands kept shaking. His voice too. He looked tired, he probably didn't sleep at all.

I'm not hating them or anything, but I found out at the age of 3 and I was hiding it way better! I understand, though. They're shocked. Well, that does make them saner than me...

-Good morning, Emma! Norman! -I said while passing by.
-Morning. -they answered.
-Something wrong, Softie? Your hands are shaking, ya know.
Norman noticed that and quickly hid his hands in his pockets. You got it, Norman. Now Mama won't notice. Keep it up.

After breakfast and the tests, Norman and Emma went somewhere. Time to spy~

Beyond the fence. That's where they went. I knew it. I wonder... Would Norman give up after seeing the wall? Haha. Maybe if he was by himself. But Emma is with him. And since Norman is obsessed with Emma, he'll always follow her like a docile puppy.

Chuckling at my own thoughts, I went back to distract Mama and make sure she won't check her tracking device until these two are back.
-It's going to rain soon... -she said. -I better call everyone inside.
-Okay! -I answered.

Norman and Emma came, panting and wheezing. That's what you get for going so far away totally unprepared.

-Two kids are missing... -Gilda pointed out.

Oh yeah. Naila and...

-Maaamaaa! -Mark cried. -What should I do!? I lost Naila in the forest and I couldn't find heeer!

Mama checked her radar and Norman noticed that. Yes, Norman, it's about time to get suspicious with that "watch" you never really saw the inside of.

-It's okay, Mark. I'll look for her. Everyone, stay here! -Mama said.

She went to the forest. Later she came back with Naila sleeping in her arms.

She took the other kids to the house while Norman and Emma were talking. I walked up to them.
-... It's like Mama knew exactly were Naila was... -Norman said.
-Whatcha guys taking about? -I asked scaring them.
-I-It's nothing! -Emma almost yelled.
-Y-Yeah... It's nothing... -Norman stuttered.
-If you say so! -I say casually and go to the house laughing. Hehe! I'm scaring the heck out of them!

At night, I was just sitting on my bed and writing a story while the others were asleep. It was a horror story about a boarding school which turned out to be a mental hospital. Yeah, I couldn't write about an orphanage aka human farm, because someone might find out, so let's stick to this.

I notice Emma getting up. She didn't realize I'm still up. Thanks to that, I could follow her. She met up with Softie in front of the storage room. Norman began lock picking again.

Geez, you two. Be careful! If I was Mama, you'd be dead already. Speaking of that... What if I captured them right now? With Norman lock picking a room we never use? What kind of excuse would they have? Hihi, let's find out~

-Norman? Emma? -I asked in a sleepy tone. -Why are you breaking in there?

-R-R-Rhea! -Norman yelled. -I was... Ah...
-You're dreaming! -Emma said to me.

Seriously, Redhead?

-Whatever. You must be up to something again. You both seemed scared of something in the morning. Then you went somewhere during playtime. And now you're sneaking out at night to the storage room.

The two looked at me horrified. Think, guys. If I noticed those details so easily, Mama probably noticed as well. I sighed.

-Don't worry, you two. I won't tell Mama or anything...

They seemed relieved.

-...if you take over my chores for the entire month! -I finish, smiling.

They stared at me with disappointment.

-See you in the morning, darlings~! -I said, going back to my bedroom.

Hey, it's not that bad! Not only I reminded them to be careful, but I'm also free from chores for the whole wide month! Awesome, if you ask me!

In the morning I was under the tree, drawing a blonde girl. It's Liliana. I hope she's alright...

Emo Boy was next to me, when he got up.
-Where ya going? -I asked.
-Just wanna talk with Emma and Norman.
-Ok.

Of course I followed him. He went beyond the fence and met with the other two.
-...So you're saying that we're just food for demons and Mama's an enemy? -he asked, pretending to be shocked.

As I expected, Emma wants to bring everyone. Liliana will definitely like her. Ray, however, snapped at her and Norman. I guess it's my turn to show up.

-What are you arguing about, Stupid Trio?
-Rhea!?
-Me indeed.

-... Rhea, we have to tell you something... -Emma approached me.
-Oh, about the farm? I know.

-........HUUUH!!!!???? -All 3 of them yelled.

-Doesn't the fact that I transferred tell you anything? Guess it's finally time to tell you guys everything. I used to live at Goodwill Ridge House. -I showed them the number on my shoulder. -My older siblings escaped and left the younger ones behind, but they'll come back and they will help us all escape!

-Really!? -Emma asked with suprise.

-Yup. See? This is Liliana. -I showed them the drawing. -I mean, she must be way older now, but that's what she looked like 8 years ago. She was the one who burned down the house.

-Burned down...? -Norman repeated. -It is a good way to distract Mama...

-Wait. -Ray interrupted. -We can't just count on Rhea's sibling.

-Excuse me? -I asked.

-What if they come back late after we're all shipped out? Or what if they're already dead...

I smacked him in the face with my sketchbook.

-Ow! What did you do that for!?

-You don't know Liliana, Ray. -I said calmly. -She will come back just in time. That's just who she is. A trustworthy person.

-But...

I covered his mouth.

-No. Forget it. Stop being so sceptical and believe in Liliana.

Ray wanted to protest but we heard the bells ring. Why so early...?
