I ran to the center of the maze, everyone else following close behind me.
Judging by the three circles on the map, there's probably three of them.
I reached the center and carefully peeked into a big room.
Yup, three big ass demons. They looked hungry and angry. Clearly, they had no intention of being friendly with us.
Zachary must be a really awful person if he was sent here as a punishment. The demon king doesn't want him to just wander around in here, he wants him to die here.
Well, Zachary can go down for all I care, but I won't let these monsters hurt any of my siblings.
The three demons were pretty interesting. Way larger than any other demon I've seen. Their skin was all dirty and torn up. And the worst thing was, they weren't wearing anything at all.
Again, I can't let my poor sibs get near those things. I gotta take them down by myself, eventually use Zachary as some sort of bait.
-Okay, everyone go back to the campfire. Me and Zachary will take care of this.
-Huh!? Why drag me into this!? -the new guy complained.
-Yeah, and you can't leave us out of all the fights! We wanna help! -Redhead whined.
-I know and I appreciate it, but the best way for you guys to help is to take care of yourselves and not give me heart attacks by risking your lives, okay?
My siblings weren't happy, but they obeyed anyway. They're slowly getting used to me doing everything on my own, huh?
Zachary wasn't happy either, but he stayed with me anyway.
-How exactly do you plan on killing those fuckers with only two people?
-Every demon has a weakness, Hobo. We just gotta figure out theirs.
-Okay, but- Wait, who are you calling a hobo!?
-I like to give people nicknames. I don't know much about you and you look like a homeless hobo. -I smiled at him sweetly.
Zachary scoffed and pulled out a small knife from his pocket.
-That's all I got. -he said. -Still think I'll be able to kill one of them?
-Yeah. My intuition says so. -I said casually, causing Hobo to almost fall over.
-Your intuition!? -he whisper-yelled. -You're betting my life on intuition!?
-Hey, I'm betting my own life as well. I mean, it's more fun this way.
-Ugh... You're crazy. Can you tell me the plan already?
-We have to start with observation. Look, they don't react to the light peeking through the cracks in the walls. That means blinding won't work on them. Their skin is all torn up, but they're not even bleeding. My guess is that they don't even need to regenerate. Their bodies are simply too strong.
-So we're left with no way to off them.
-Not necessarily~! -I giggled. -Zachary, would you like to go mushroom picking with me?
-...Huuh!? Are you high or some shit!?
I sighed. This boy can't think outside the box now, can he?
-We're gonna poison them, honey. Their skin and muscles are strong, but not their organs.
-How do you know that? Intuition again?
-Yup. It really helps move the plot along, you know?
-The plot...?
