October 15th, 1975.

"C'mon, Reg. You've got this." Natalie said encouragingly. They were sitting in the library and it was a relatively peaceful afternoon. Well, it would have been if Regulus would get this spell right.

"I've done it before. I don't know why I'm struggling so hard with it now." Regulus groaned as he cast the spell for the fifth time and failed.

"C'mon, it's simple. Locomotor." she cast. The book she had her wand pointed at floated off of the library table. She moved her wand up and down, side to side, and even in a circle. Regulus shot her a dark look and muttered the incantation again. It failed once more and he groaned louder.

"Still at it?" Charlotte asked as she sat in the chair next to Regulus.

"Yes." Natalie said cheerfully.

"Yes." Regulus said dully at the same time.

"Cheer up, Reg. It's probably just a large brain fart." Salvo said, ruffling Regulus' hair as he sat in the chair next to Charlotte. He gave Charlotte a peck on the cheek before ruffling Natalie's hair in a similar fashion to the way he did Regulus'.

"Salvo." she groaned, batting at his hands. He just laughed in response before settling in next to Charlotte.

"You're all distracting me." Regulus said. He was looking at his textbook as if it had personally wronged him.

"No we're not. Nat is just forcing you to study like you'll die if you don't and it's causing you to have magic flop." Charlotte explained as she idly panned through a book she found Merlin knows where. Seriously, Natalie could count on one hand the amount of times she'd seen her friend reading a book from the library.

"Magic flop?" Salvo asked.

Charlotte nodded her head solemnly at him. "When your mind is overstimulated so your spells come out all wrong. It happens to Natalie all the time."

Salvo turned to Natalie and raised a brow. "You cast experimental spells when your mind is overstimulated? Spells that could possibly come out wrong and harm you?"

"Snitch." Natalie muttered and Charlotte gave her an apologetic look.

Regulus shut his textbook, evidently done for the day. "Did you get your owl's from Narcissa yet?"

They all shook their heads. Natalie said, "I'll check during breakfast tomorrow though."

"Good. I think she might start going stir-crazy soon."

"I thought she enjoyed her honeymoon." Charlotte said thoughtfully.

Narcissa and Lucius Malfoy had recently returned from their honeymoon in the Malfoy vacation home in France. They'd all attended the wedding, being good friends with the bride and groom, and it had been a lovely affair.

Well, it was a Malfoy wedding so of course it was. Narcissa had looked stunning in her long white dress and Lucius dashing in his formal robes.

But they all knew Narcissa needed something to occupy her time now that she wasn't wedding planning or in school. And with no heir yet, she didn't have many options.

"She loved her honeymoon, but now Lucius has returned to work and although she may not act like it, there's only so much society work that woman can do in a week." Natalie said.

Salvo hummed. "Well, now that she has two weddings to plan she will have something to occupy her time."

"Whose?" Natalie asked idly.
