November 9th, 1975.
Natalie never got any one-on-one time with her brother anymore. They spent time together, of course, but Charlotte or Regulus were always also there.
Which is why Natalie was so happy to spend some quiet time with just Salvo. It was Sunday, so they decided to spend the day relaxing in his dorm with the extra time the weekend afforded.
She was sure that either Charlotte or Regulus would come knocking on the door some time soon, but their day so far had been refreshing and just what Natalie needed.
It wasn't like they never saw each other or anything. For Merlin's sake, they were siblings in the same house at a boarding school. Hogwarts was just a rather large school and she sometimes got lonely. You couldn't blame a girl for seeking the comfort of her big brother, now could you?
Currently he was going on about quidditch and the upcoming match against Gryffindor. Since they had won the first match, they'd only played in one other match. Now though, their third game was against Gryffindor and Salvo could not fathom the idea of loosing.
"And obviously if that doesn't work, we'll switch to formation five, which I'll have you chasers work on at practice again this week, and if that doesn't throw them off, I'll have to come up with something else."
Salvo took a deep breath as he prepared himself to go on again about possibilities in the quidditch match, and though she loved her brother very much, Natalie had already listened to him repeat that exact sentence five times in various ways. For the past fifteen minutes.
Natalie had timed it.
So, she raised her finger to his lips to shush him. "I'm sure the match will go just fine, Salvo. I don't think it's healthy how hard your stressing about this one game."
"I don't think it's healthy to lose to Gryffindors." he muttered.
Her laugh filled the room before his joined.
Eventually, they quieted. She shifted her head on his arm as she counted the dots on his ceiling. "Do you have any progress on that device of yours?" he asked.
Natalie groaned and turned to burrow her head in the arm she had been laying on.
Salvo chuckled. "I take that as a no?"
"No, I've had progress. Just not good progress."
She felt him shift as he tried to push her off him. "And what is bad progress?"
"The progress I've been making." she grumbled as she resisted his attempts in shooing her off.
He gave her one last playful shove before giving up. "That isn't exactly helpful."
"I should have something solid to show father by winter holiday."
"Well," Natalie felt his shoulders shrug before he sat up on his hands and she was really forced to shove off, "Don't stress yourself out about it too much. Remember schoolwork is your priority."
"I could say the same, Mr.Quidditch."
"Oh really? Because I could-"
She was saved by Charlotte swinging his door open and gasping in delight at seeing both Leonie siblings in once place.
"This works out perfectly," her best friend said, "Just the two models I was looking for."
And with no further warning, she and Salvo were promptly snatched from the room and forced to try on different outfits for Charlotte to see what the blonde liked best.
