Natalie thought she might go mental. Maybe she already had. Maybe she was already stuck in her head and was simply very, very crazy.

Yes, she was going crazy because she had already explained and demonstrated the wand motions for the 'Reducio' charm three times. Three times, and they still weren't doing it right.

Honestly, how hard could it be? She had figured it out on her second try in first year while she had been reading ahead. She knew it by first year with no instruction yet these dimwits couldn't simply move their wand in the correct motions.

Taking a deep breath, Natalie called upon any remaining patience she had. "No, Joseph. You need to move your arm like this." she said and demonstrated as the other two second years watched.

She didn't even really know how she got there, just that one moment she was studying for Ancient Runes and the next she was tutoring second years in a charm they needed help with.

When Joseph failed again, Natalie sighed. "Why don't you all go take a walk around the Black Lake? Give your brains a chance to absorb what I've told you, and see if you understand it any better once you're done." she advised.

The three of them nodded and gave her their thanks for trying before making their way out of the library. They would probably return to their common room and keep trying, but if they asked her again maybe she would wordlessly shrink an apple when one of them cast instead of waste another hour of her time.

Packing up her books, Natalie was out the door and on her way to her own common room to try to study there instead. Her house was never too loud, and they always left her alone when her posture got too tense. Or when she couldn't outright say she was annoyed, but allowed just enough of her body language to say it for her.

Except, she didn't even make it too far past the library doors before she heard someone call her name.

She turned around and almost screamed when she saw Sirius Black's idiotic face. Could she never have any time to herself anymore?

She tried ignoring him, pushing past him to continue on her way. But no, of course that didn't work.

"Did Moony not tell you the good news?" he asked excitedly as he caught up with her, walking in step with her.

He had this stupid look on his face. Well, he always looked stupid but he had this look on his face that made it seem like his birthday came early, or maybe twice. He was arrogant like that.

His long jet black hair was tied at the nape of his neck and his grey eyes were bright with his excitement. He had the traditional House of Black features but still somehow managed to look like a half-troll breed.

He had the brains of one too, and it was almost like she could feel it rubbing off on her while they spoke.

Salazar, was she really getting worked up this easily? She would have to take a calming draught when she got to her room, those second years must have mentally exhausted her more than she thought.

She noticed Black was still next to her and groaned. What did he want again? Something about a Moony? "Who is-" She was cut off before she could finish.

"Remus." he clarified. Oh yeah, the nicknames. Wasn't he Padsfeet or something? "Remus, did he tell you the good news?"

She paused for a moment, confused. What news? She had spoken to Remus yesterday just after charms, but hadn't been able to see him between classes today.
