The sun beamed in through the blinds and onto Amelia's face, causing her to sink into the covers and turn over. She layed there for a few minutes peacefully until..

*beep* *beep*

"Ughh.." She groaned then reached over to 'carefully' turn the alarm clock off.

With that Amelia stood up and began her weekly routine. She didn't mind school days, mostly cause she was on auto pilot from the minute she woke up until she went back to sleep. She would get up, do her bed, be the first to go to the bathroom before any of the other kids woke up then she would get changed. She would brush her hair to perfection and double check all work she needed for the day was done and done to the the highest of standards, she had no one to impress but there was no harm in being a good student. After waiting 10 minutes she'd then leave her room again and have her once neat hair ruffled by Lucía. At the start Amelia used to punish her for that by putting bugs in her pillow or threatening to use her beanie as candle lighting but it had become a friendly gesture between the two over the years.

Lucía usually made breakfast for everyone if the home workers didn't wake up on time, Amelia preferred this despite the fact the first few times she was given food by the Noeceda she couldn't help but be suspicious. Now she liked that Lucía perfected the way she liked to have her toast, cooked so it's golden and just the right amount of jam. All it took was many hours of dedicated practice, though the girl never wanted to do it, Amelia still appreciated that she took the time to learn something, she just wished she'd put that effort into her studies.

Her and Lucía had their common interests but when it came to school they were total opposites. Amelia committed herself to her work, made sure she completed it to the best of her abilities, but better. Lucía on the other hand had no interest in learning, she usually slacked off or messed around in lessons. Other than the fact it wasted time and their peers appreciated that, Amelia wished she would be more mature with her studies, for her own sake. She always imagined Lucía would be something big, that they all would, 'there's no better backstory than originating from a foster home' she thought to herself often.

After finishing their breakfasts, the eldest kids would walk to school together, being Wionna, Lucía and Amelia, then the youngest would be driven in a bus that the Foster home owned. Due to Connecticut's cold weather, the past month Amelia had been 'politely asking' for Lucía's jacket everyday, earning a frustrated,

"Why don't you bring your own god damn jacket, Blight?"

Amelia honestly didn't know why she purposely forgot her own, maybe it was because Lucía's didn't smell like its been thrown into a pool of dirty cigar water or that it was too big for her so she would be warmer.

Once the trio made it to their school, Amelia would give the girl her jacket back then the three would part ways.
The two Amelia liked to call "tweedle dumb and tweedle dee" would go off in one direction as their lockers were near eachother and Amelia would take the route to her friend Becca's locker. The two started off on a rocky road but they had a lot more in common than they thought which lead to the friendship they have today. What bothered the Blight was that Becca was on a path placked out in gold just for her, her parents wealth and her perfect reputation at the academy destined her to be nothing but successful, Amelia was never a jealous person but she hated to think she couldve had what she had if the accident never happened.

Ignoring that, she met up with her friend who was clearly in the middle of something.

Amelia cleared her throat catching the attention of the star rugby player and the girl who was basically nose to nose with her, despite the fact that Becca's tall frame towered over the other person.
