Monday, the 11th of December

Ceridwen continued teaching her stupid students for the rest of the hour. It was great because no one dared to talk. They all had a new-found respect for her now that they knew she was dating a celebrity.
Some students were even jealous of her. It was funny to see the disappointment on their faces.

When the bell rang, her students all got out of the classroom. She took her teacup, got out of the room and closed the door. She was about to open the door to the classrom next to hers, but she stopped herself. Couldn't that old habit go away?

It's been years now, move on. It's what she would have wanted.

She missed her.

At first, she refused to believe it, but it had been 20 years. She was gone for sure.

She walked towards the corridor and stopped. She raised her head. She was thinking of their friendship, all the laughs they had.

Olyvia, I miss you.

Monday, the 18th of December

A week had passed. She missed her old life. Now that everyone knew that Timothée was her boyfriend, he started acting differently.
He was more irritable, cocky, he forgot dates, ...

He was a straight-up jerk.

She talked to him about it and he told her he would make an effort. That day at noon, he would organize a date.

She drove to school. First class, the year tens. That was fine. They wouldn't chatter.
She went into the classroom, and sat down. They were all moving everywhere so she yelled: "STOP FIDGETING !!!"

The students stopped whatever they were doing. Ceridwen realized that she actually yelled way louder than she had ever before
"Sorry, I'm just having a bad day", she said.

They were all concerned so they tried working harder than usual.

By 12 PM, she was exhausted. She had the 4èmes inter, and they were so annoying.

She drove to the dune, she didn't see his car but saw one similar to Olyvia's. She cursed to herself. She shouldn't be thinking about her. She was gone.
She climbed the dune but she couldn't see anything. She called out his name twice, no response.

There. was. no. picnic.

"He forgot AGAIN ??!!?", she screamed.

She was mad. She ran down the dune, went in her car and drove back to the middle school.

When she saw the school, she knew she couldn't do this. She needed some space and time to think. She decided to take a walk, she was lost in her thoughts, and was seriously considering breaking up with Timothée when she heard someone shout her name.

She turned around and saw Olyvia sitting on a bench, she thought she might be dreaming, so she pinched herself. Olyvia looked fine, she hadn't aged one bit.
Ceridwen was still shocked and still couldn't believe her eyes, she thought that maybe this was a hallucination because of all the stress. Olyvia was running up to her and asking her what was wrong.

Ceridwen just couldn't take it all in, she was so stressed because of her relationship and now seeing her best friend after 20 years. She just started shouting at Olyvia and asking her where she had been and telling her how she thought she was dead. Olyvia just smiled and asked her

"Are you still drunk?"

Ceridwen was going to ask Olyvia what she meant by that when they both heard a loud noise.
