Molly, Lil' Petey, Maddie, and Petey were walking home. "I know, but Rudolph can fly, but Batman can't," Molly told Lil' Petey.

"That's not the point," Lil' Petey said. "Santa could beat up the-"

"Would you kids  please be quiet?!" Petey interrupted. "Just five minutes of peace! Just five- hey!"

Petey saw the state of his lab. "What happened?" Petey asked as he, Lil' Petey, and Maddie saw the state of it.

"Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you," Molly said. "Your lab broke."

Petey turned around and glared.  "Petey, don't be too mad," Maddie tried to tell him. Petey ignored her and walked through the remains.

"Hey Wally? This might not be the best time to ask," Molly started. "But can I keep this robo-suit?"

"Well, sure Molly, why not?" Petey said sarcastically. "As you see, I've just lost everything. So, please, help yourself. Take my last remaining material possession!"

"Really? Awesome! Thanks, Wally!" Molly said with excitement, believing Petey was serious, hugging him before blasting off. "See ya! Don't forget the chip dip!"

Petey wasn't happy. But he didn't bother yelling after Molly. He walked away when he saw Lil' Petey and Maddie.

"Hey, Papa," Lil' Petey said. "Look what I found!"

Petey looked and saw that his son was holding a ukulele. Not any ukulele. The one that belonged to his mother. He saw Maddie smiling at him.

"It's a guitar," Lil' Petey said as he started to play it.

"Where did you find this?" Petey asked, gently taking ukulele.

"Over there by those bricks," Lil' Petey answered.

"It's not a guitar, it's a ukulele," Petey said, crouching down.

"Oh," Lil' Petey said.

"This was my mother's," Petey said. "I've been looking everywhere for this. I thought I've lost it."

Petey sat down with Lil' Petey and Maddie. "But it's been with me all along," Petey said. Petey began to play the ukulele.

"Your mother was great, wasn't she?" Maddie asked.

"She was the best, and so were you and Lil' Petey," Petey said before handing her the ukulele. "Go ahead."

Maddie smiled and began to play the ukulele. The three stared at the stars, music playing along. "C'mon, Papa, Maddie," Lil' Petey said. "Let's go. We can stay at Dog Man's house. At least until we rebuild the lab."

"Okay," Petey sighed as he, Lil' Petey, and Maddie started walking. "I guess we don't have a choice. We just lost everything."

"Well, not everything," Lil' Petey said.

"We still have love, and love lasts forever," Maddie told Petey.

They stopped walking. Petey picked up Lil' Petey. He, Lil' Petey, and Maddie hugged each other lovingly. "Forever and ever," he said.

So Petey did end up living with at Dog Man's house, and things went well. Petey had plans for the night, though. While everyone went to sleep, Petey worked hard on a project and hid it in the Grand Ballroom.

"So, you wanted to show me something?" Maddie asked as she and Petey walked into the elevator the next morning before breakfast.

"Yeah, I decided to make a gift before going to bed last night," Petey told her.

"Really?" I asked with wide eyes.

When the elevator opened, Petey covered Maddie's eyes and walked into the Grand Ballroom with her. After taking a couple of steps, Petey uncovered Maddie's eyes.

Maddie's eyes went wide when she saw Petey's gift. It was a giant portrait that took off most of the wall she was staring at.  The portrait was black, with beautiful outlines of purple, pink, and white. There was a rose, hearts, mists, and stars in the artistic portrait. It was beautiful.

"Like it?" Petey asked.

"I love it," Maddie breathed before hugging Petey tightly. "You didn't have to go through all that trouble, though."

"I did, for you," Petey said happily. "You're the greatest person I have in my life. I couldn't ask for anything else other than you."

Maddie blushed madly as he continued. "I remembered those kisses you gave me when I came back to jail way back," Petey said. " I thought I'd give you my gift as well."

"I gave you those kisses because I....loved you, very, very much," Maddie confessed, blushing more as her face turned more red. "I was worried about how you'd react if I told you."

"I loved you too," Petey told Maddie with a warm smile. "I always had. I never thought you'd feel the same way."

Maddie giggled a bit. "I think it's time," Maddie told Petey. They kissed, their lips touching. They couldn't stop. That was they sound a snap.

Maddie and Petey turned to see Dog Man, with Lil' Petey, entering the Ballroom. He had his phone out and a big goofy smile was on his face.

"The ship sailed, Dog Man," Lil' Petey said enthusiastically.

"You didn't take a picture of that, did you?" Petey asked, his face red in embarrassment.

Dog Man nodded his head and barked. "Dog Man says he's gonna show the photo to everyone at the police station, including Chief," Lil' Petey translated.

"You better not, Dog Man!" Petey said. Dog Man dashed out of the Grand Ballroom, Petey chasing after him. "You get back here!"

Maddie couldn't help but giggle. That was how her and Petey's relationship started. They went on dates and made love. Maddie was happy to be dating her crush.

It was a dream come true, and it was just the beginning.

The End
