WARCRAFT IV -- CHAPTER 2 - United under One Banner (Horde Campaign)

The Gates of the Citadel

Malfurion and Mordent leave the Horde leaders and return to their own troops for their journey to the Terokkar Forest. Meanwhile, Thrall and his companions assemble their own armies and discuss their plans of assaulting the Black Citadel. The Horde leaders have agreed to lead the most of their warriors against the demonic forces inside the citadel while a few others would remain behind and guard the front gate from the outside in case of any demon or fel orc that might try to flee from the citadel. Thrall, Dranosh, Rexxar, Rokhan, and Cairne shall lead the Horde army upon storming the Black Citadel while Drek'Thar, Corhuk, and Leoroxx shall remain behind to command the support troops outside of the citadel. Upon finishing their preparations, Thrall gives his final words for the warriors of the Horde as they ready themselves for their final battle against the Legion on Outland.

Thrall: "Rise up, warriors of the Horde! We had come a long way from Azeroth to reach this point, and today, we will put an end to this war! Today, we will end the terror of the Legion on our people and their reign over what remains of our original home world! We have destroyed the demons and fel orcs in many battlefields, and we shall do so again here for the last time! These bastard mongrels cannot match our combined strength and spirit! The Legion will not stop the Horde! Lok-tar ogar!"

Dranosh: "We are with you, Warchief! The warriors of the Blackrock and all the other proud clans are yours to command! We are shall storm this citadel and spill the blood of all our foes! Lok-tar!"

Rexxar: "The Legion had done enough of their evil upon our brethren and on these lands! It is time that they feel our wrath and vengeance! Never shall the demons enslave our entire race ever again!"

Rokhan: "The Darkspear proudly stand one with the Horde, and follow your command, boss-man."

Cairne: "The tauren are always honored to fight alongside the Horde. We shall end the Legion and protect Azeroth. We will not let those demons ruin our earth mother just as they did to these lands."

Thrall: "Then, let the attack commence! It is now the hour of bloodshed and glory! For the Horde!"

As the early hours of the morning comes, the forces of the Horde begin the assault by having their siege demolishers bombard the frontal gates and outer defensive towers of the Black Citadel. After destroying the doom towers and shattering the gates, the armies of the Horde led by Thrall, Rexxar, Dranosh, Rokhan, and Cairne made a fierce charge towards the exposed compounds of the citadel. The Horde army consists of grunts, taurens, raiders, troll berserkers, shamans, witch doctors, spirit walkers, wyvern riders, troll bat riders, demolishers, kodo beast drummers, ogre maulers, and ogre magi. Making their way to the wide spacious courtyard of the citadel, a large demonic encampment stands on the courtyard and serves as the first major line of defense of the Legion within the citadel. The base is built with strong fortified defenses, and it is defended by a huge group of fel orc grunts, fel orc raiders, fel orc warlocks, overlords, voidwalkers, infernal juggernauts, flying daemons, and nether dragons. Wasting no time, the armies of the Horde led by Thrall, Dranosh, Rexxar, Rokhan, and Cairne launch an aggressive assault against the demonic encampment on the citadel courtyard.

A massive war battle occurs between the Horde army and the forces of the Legion. Thrall, Dranosh, Rexxar, Rokhan, and Cairne lead their troops to press on their heavy assault while the demons and fel orcs fight back in defense of the citadel courtyard. Many warriors from both the opposing sides are falling on the violent battlefield in the midst of their large scale battle. The leaders of the Horde make use of each of their various individual skills and powers on the battle, which gives the Horde armies the advantage over the forces of the Legion. Despite being a tough massive battle, the forces of the Horde effectively push their assault against the bastion of demons and fel orcs. After a while of intense battling, the Horde army eventually claimed the victory. The demons and fel orcs are all killed, and their base camp on the citadel courtyard had been destroyed. The Horde lost a moderate amount of troops during the battle. After razing the demonic base in the courtyard; Thrall, Dranosh, Rexxar, Rokhan, and Cairne reassemble their army and ready themselves for their next soon battle.

Thrall: "Victory is ours, brothers! Taking the courtyard of this citadel is a great start for all of us! We must continue pressing on the attack! There are certainly much more of those wretches inside!"

Rexxar: "We will not be able to bring our flyers inside. We must prepare our best ground warriors."

Thrall: "Assemble our troops! We shall storm the inner compounds! Hopefully, we will be able to find Garm and the others somewhere within! I only hope that we are not yet too late to save them!"
