Silence.

Absolute silence.

"There are two Lestranges you know, Rab probably got married or something. Congrats boy you have a daughter!", cheers Bellatrix. The purebloods were stunned but quickly recovered. Small whispers of congratulations were passed onto Rabastan who, even though was pale, managed to give nods and thank yous.

Andromeda, who was surprisingly there but silent, looked at her older sister sadly. She knew how much Bella had wished for a child.

"I was late for about five minutes, how impatient could you get Cass?", asked Carina as she took a seat. "Cass has always been weird that way.", replies Draco Malfoy, picking up a knife and fork, looking starved. "dobby really outdid himself today", he mumbled.

"Did any of you receive your letters yet? School starts in a week.", question Lucious Malfoy, his face set into a tight line as usual. "Not at all, maybe they forgot about us.", replied Carina, waving her knife around Narcissa who immediately leaned back into her chair to avoid getting hit.

"Forgot?", yells Cygnus Black, outraged.

"FORGOT!!", roared Lucious.

the rest of the great hall snickered at their reactions as both the men flush red.

Cassiopeia snickers at her uncle's reaction as she shoved more pancakes into her mouth.

" Cassiopeia Lestrange!", says Narcissa as Draco and Carina nudge each other underneath the tables. "Here she goes again.", exclaims Cass, rolling her eyes as she put her fork and knife down. "Do not disrespect your elders young lady, have I not taught you manners?", admonishes her aunt. "Clearly the ones you've taught never made it past that skull of hers mother.", snickers Draco as Carina tried to muffle laughter by burying her face in her shoulder.

"YOU MOTHER-", Cass lunges towards Draco who manages to duck in time to avoid a bitten toast flying to his head as Carina falls off her chair, her face red with laughter. Narcissa buries her face in her hands. "STOP IT!", yells Lucious, Draco and Cass were still arguing, neither of them noticing the mess made until Lucius yelled out.

"These children are obviously well mannered.", comments Theodore, looking at the screen with a shark grin on his face.

Out there, on the mess of a dining table, lay three letters.

"Hogwarts letters!", exclaims a Hufflepuff.

"Hogwarts letters", breathes Narcissa.

The trio looks at each other before silently standing back up and brushing the dust off of their robes. Picture perfect masks of calm befalling upon their face as they gazed at the long-awaited letters on the table.

"The eyes are the window to a person's souls, clearly they haven't mastered the art of closing those.", comments Rudolphous Lestrange offhandedly, the other purebloods nodding in response.

"Why don't you visit your uncle at his office and deliver the good news?", suggests Narcissa, looking relieved. "Why don't we go shopping in Diagon Alley, considering the fact that school starts in a week.", shoots back Carina, a mischievous grin on her face.

"Alright, this is it, all of you get out of my house.", Lucious steps away from his chair and towards the children. "Go back to uncle Reggie, shoo!", he says, waving his hands around and looking quite funny.

"They aren't chickens Lucious!", admonishes Druella, Lucious at least has the good graces to look ashamed of himself.

"Your father is grumpy as hell Draco!"
