back in london
Tom and I haven't kissed since last week. Emma told me she'd punch him but I told her to stop overreacting. I'm wearing the jumper he bought me to class today.

I'm not as early. I walk in with everyone else, Tom is looking at his computer, I walk to my seat and sit myself down, getting my notebook and pen out and placing it on the desk.

"Good morning guys, today we are planning for the internship, get on and do what you want. You can listen to music, watch whatever you want to watch, but no porn."

The boys laugh at his comment.

I carry on planning my essay.

I don't even know how long it is, like 7 months or something.

The class soon ends. I put my things away. I was the last to leave the class.

"Av." Tom calls.
I stop.
"Yeah?"

"Your jumper. You look nice in it."

"Really? I didn't think it would match these jeans."

"No you look beautiful." He walks closer to me.

"We can't. There's a policy." I whisper.

He sighs.
"Av..."

"Tom. No, anyone could come in if we do."

"Fine but that doesn't change anything. You can't fucking help who you fall for."

I leave the room. He's right. You can't. I walk to work. I put my apron on and serve customers. Some were lovely people. Others were rude and disrespectful.

"Hiya, what can I get you?" I ask the next customer.
"Alright, can I have a black coffee?"

"Of course sir, could we have your name. It's very busy."

"Ethan." He answers.
I look at him. Ethan from the party?
"What?" He looks back at me.
"Oh nothing. Your coffee should be ready in about 10 minutes. I'm sorry it's a long wait."

"It's all right, Avery." He smirks.

So he does know me. Great.

I go and make the millions of orders we needed and I must've called so many names by the time I called "ETHAN!"

He came and got his coffee.
"Cheers, see you around Avery."
"Hold on." I say. My shift has ended now.

"What?"
"Do I know you?"

"Yeah. That party when you were wasted and I told you that you could call me whatever you wanted."

"Right! That's how I recognised your name."

"Yeah, I'm so glad we didn't do something stupid that night."
"Me too. I would've regretted that."

He looks at me confused and then realised before he walked away and I made my way home. It was cold, I could feel myself shivering as I walked through the roads so I wrapped my arms around myself.

"You cold?" I hear a voice ask.
"Yeah, how'd you guess?"
"You're shivering Av."

Now I know who it is. Tom.
"Is there a reason your walking in the cold?" I ask him.
"Nope, Tess is at home. I just wanted to have a walk. What about you?"
"I'm walking home from work."

"Right, do you want my jacket? You look freezing."
"No, it's yours. You keep it."
"No. Look at you, your cheeks are going pink." He says and takes of his jacket and passes it to me.

"Thanks... Are you not cold?" I ask while putting it on.
"Nah. I'll walk you home. Come on."

I smile and walk beside him on the way home, he took my cold hand into his. His hand was warm so he was warming up mine.
