this video of mac is spectacular ^
————————"It's third down for the AFC." the announcer said over the intercom.
It was the Pro Bowl and it was the end of the fourth quarter. I was at the Pro Bowl, watching my boyfriend, Mac Jones, play in the game. I was also watching my brother, Justin Jefferson. The AFC (Mac's team) was winning 41 to 35 over the NFC (Justin's team) with a little over two minutes remaining. It was third down, I was on the sideline while Mac was on the field. Mac and his teammates got in a huddle and got ready for the play. The snapper snapped it to Mac and Mac ran for the first down.
Whistle!
The whistle blew as Mac got "tackled". He really only got touched but they called the play dead. But, Mac kept running. All the way to the end zone! I was in shock, laughing all the while.
"Ay Jefferson, is that your man?" George Kittle asked me. I was switching from the AFC's side to the NFC's side. Right now, I was on the NFC's side with Justin.
"You bet your ass he is." I laughed. Then, he started doing the griddy... terribly.
"What the fuck is he doing." I sighed. I was pissed, sorta. Justin and I had taught Mac how to griddy MONTHS ago. Now look at him, doing the griddy like his girlfriend and girlfriend's brother aren't watching. I had to do something about this. Justin must've had the same idea as me.
"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Justin asked.
"Definitely. Lets go." I said, running towards the end zone with Justin on my tail. Mac was still down there when we got there, surprisingly.
"What are y'all doing down here?" Mac asked.
"Teaching ya how to fucking griddy." Justin said, out of breath.
"Uh no! I did it perfectly." Mac said.
"Sureeeee babe." I exaggerated.
"Now first step, get your footwork down. You kinda just hop on your toes and heels and then just go with the flow." I demonstrated. Mac copied me.
"Now, swing your arms up and down. Your arms were too far apart before. When they come to the front, make some sort of triangle shape with your hands." Justin demonstrated the next part.
"Put the steps together and bam! You have the griddy." All three of us started doing the griddy, laughing while doing so. Mac improved..... slightly? We started walking back cause the ref was "mad".
"You're still pretty shit at doing the griddy." Justin commented towards Mac. I slapped his arm and he rubbed it in pain.
"I think you did great." I smiled. Mac blushed.
"Thank you y/n. This is why I'm dating you." Mac smiled. It was my turn to blush.
"Get a room." Justin groaned. He went back to his bench.
"Go back before you get a delay of game." I laughed.
"We're beating their asses, I could care less. But, I'll go anyway. Bye baby. See ya later." he winked.
"Bye 'Bama boy." I smiled. He jogged to the field with the rest of the team.
"Why is Alabama so good at everything?" Justin asked as I got back to the bench.
"I couldn't tell ya. But, they sure as hell produced a good quarterback." I said, watching Mac laugh in his huddle.
