Scorpius scratched his head as he gave it a deep thought. After speaking to his young dad and Harry, he couldn't quite wrap his mind around it all. Were they ever going back to their timeline? He really hoped so.
Scorpius worried that his father might've be suffering for his sudden disappearance. He missed his dad dearly, and almost wanted to scream it into young Draco's face. He knew the loss of his mother had affected mostly Draco. Astoria was always there for him, even after revealing his faded dark mark. Mother always knew Father was a good man. He was truly a good person who was taught by all the wrong people.
Draco had been released from the ministry's watch after Harry testified against the accusation. Scorpius never knew what his friend's father said that day, but was eternally grateful for it. Scorpius was brought into the world by two lovers who cared about each other deeply and understood their backgrounds, even when his grandparents didn't really agree with it.
Speaking of, Lucius must also be free at this time.
Scorpius shivered at the thought of his grandfather torturing muggles and being a Voldemort supporter. He truly despised Lucius and was glad that he had been sentenced to a lifetime in Azkaban. For all he knew, Lucius earned it.
Back to reality, he glanced at Albus who was fast asleep in his side of the room. His bed messed up, since his friend couldn't stop moving around. The windows showing a dark sky with thousands of stars shining through.
He looked around the almost empty room, with a stash of clothes on top of their drawer that Mcgonnagal had given them hours prior.
He smiled at the thoughtful action.
Scorpius guessed that it was the middle of the night, since there was no sound coming from anywhere. He couldn't fall asleep after last day's situation.
The professor was quite nice with them, and showed them a private room where they could stay until they found a way to get back to their timeline. It was supposed to be a temporary room for anyone who had to stay at hogwarts for an emergency situation, though Scorpius couldn't think of one situation when it was more required that it was now.
The decorations were basic, with neutral warm colors surrounding the two beds placed in the middle of the room, though he enchanted a blanket green.
Scorpius had barely any time to admire it until the lights turned off to sleep, but sadly he could barely get 2 hours of it.
...
Albus woke up feeling real tired and dizzy. He guessed that time traveling caused that, especially when it wasn't properly used.
He yawned and started getting up from the bed. The floor was very cold, and he frowned knowing that McGonagall hadn't included slippers in the small stash she had brought.
He quickly walked to the bathroom to brush his teeth and get a shower that was very much needed.
Contrary to Scorpius, he had gotten an amazing night of sleep. He even dreamt about his father and himself going to a muggle amusement park that Rose once mentioned in a family reunion.
On the same room Scorpius got up for like the 6th time that night. His eyes were droopy and he felt extremely tired, though apparently not enough to gall asleep. He heard the shower on, so he decided to change.
After the previous night filled by revelations, presentations and preoccupations, Scorpius needed to get his mind off things.
He was hungry, and to his luck, the room was located next to the kitchen. He transfigured a pair of slippers that he very much needed from the start, and headed to the door.
He got the unpleasant surprise that it was locked.
He conjured a quick alohomora, not thinking much about it; but still the door remained closed.
Confused, he tried again. And again. And again.
But the door was shut down as if they were trapped."What?" He murmured to himself, as he gathered enough strength to push it, but nothing seemed to happen.
He immediately went to the bathroom where Albus was at.
Scorpius called out his best friend's name a few times from the outside, but since the boy didn't respond he opted to get into the bathroom, closing his eyes as precaution.
"Uhh Albus?"
"Yeah? Wait- what are you doing here? I'm showering" Albus said as if it wasn't obvious.
His words were muffled with the sounds of splashing water.
"I think that the door is locked. Like locked with a spell or something"
"What do you mean? Have you tried alohomora? That usually does the trick"
He quickly explained that he did several times, and the shower began turning off.
"Oh fuck" Albus' head appeared from the curtains to be met with Scorpius back staring at the entrance, probably to evade seeing him naked.
Cause that would be awkward.
"Yes, we are fucked"
...
"Draco! We have been looking for you everywhere you shithead" Pansy said in a playful manner, smiling to the blond boy from the common room couch.
"Neville says he saw you earlier in hogsmade talking by yourself, do tell pretty boy if you have already lost your marbles from the -you are a father- news" the girl said widening her eyes, but frowned when she saw nothing but old plain sorrow in Draco's face.
"Have you?"
"Stop teasing Pans, I'm about to hex you" He said changing his expression to a smirk, though it fainted quickly.
"What happened?" She asked, curiosity rising in her insides.
The blonde didn't respond but Pansy keep staring at him firmly. Surely he would have to tell her something, right?
"You are even worse than Professor Binns when Luna asks if he can see souls"
"Alright I'll tell you" he sighed loudly and reached to his back pocket. Without notice, a broken piece of mirror was shoved into the girl's hands.
She could only gasp when a particular pair of eyes stared.
